Duval House

Place was great if you’re only looking for a simple place to stay at! Very simple and clean. Free breakfast is included in the stay and the rooms were very clean! Only downside is that the small cabana will have a pretty small shower! So, beware if you’re traveling with someone who’s tall or a little wide. Also, parking is not free! You pay about 30 dollars a night…so that’s my only complaint. Really wish parking was free since we already paid a good amount for staying at the property. Only complaint is no free parking and the tiny shower if you’re staying in the small cabana.

It was in a great location, but also quiet you never knew you were right in the middle of everything on the Wall Street. Everyone was nice. The room was great this time ever will be back next year 👍

Wonderful property, peaceful and clean with amazing in town location. Room was nice. Check- in and out were smooth and easy, with very kind staff. Parking is an issue and extra cost, as we are sure is with most old town properties, information about other options for parking would help on the site etc. Breakfast was good, not great (parfaits were nice, hard boiled eggs and waffles are nice choices and OK), staff were kind and helpful. If high traffic there is a bit of a wait for the waffles.

We will definitely be back! The location is great. The rooms are wonderful. The staff is amazing. The grounds out back make you feel like you are in an island oasis. The rooms feel like Cape Cod. What more could you ask for. Thank you!

Very good

I am not one to write a bad review, and i don't think I ever have. But I have to be fair to subsequent guests and alert them to our experience. Some of the issues were un-avoidable and I am not even bringing those into question, like not being able to check in until after 5:30 when guaranteed check in is 3 pm. The real issues started with the fact I have stayed here before and didn't realize their are entirely different rooms thta you could end up with. We had stayed in room 21 in the past, which albeit is on 2nd floor and that may turn off some people, but room is updated, spacious and overall a great place to unwind. It even has it's own balcony to enjoy. However this trip we were given room 14, which at first glance isn't bad - 1st floor, near pool, near kitchen breakfast area. However, after expecting the larger type room that 21 is, this room is about 100 sq ft and for that I am being generous. The shower is so small it is hard to even fit in it. That also sits directly across from the stool and the 2 together are so close it is almost impossible to move. The bed barely fits is the room and is very small - maybe full? But the real part comes in that the door had large openings top and bottom and we have both lizzard's and bugs in the room. There was no way to prevent this. Also as mentioned it is close to pool and kitchen. Both of which made it hard to enjoy anytime in the room. Pool was loud at night and the kictehn will start banging around at 6:30 am!

The entire inn was quaint and beautiful. The staff was superb. The breakfasts were lackluster.

Do not think twice do it if price is right👏

Loved everything about our stay here — the warm welcome and welcome beer, super kind and helpful staff, most delicious breakfast, our room was super clean and cute with nice balcony. The location can’t be beat and we were sad to leave. Thank you for all!!
