Opal Key Resort & Marina, Key West

The minute we arrived I knew we made the right choice. From the parking attendance to the pleasant and professional front desk staff. The welcome champagne took checking in to another level. Opening the door to our suite and walking out on the balcony. The pool. The restaurant. Close to Duval street. 10 out of 10.

The hotel was clean—staff were super pleasant. Location was superb!! Worth every penny!!!! Cookies—slippers—-unlimited water—sunblock at the pool—cool towels—ice pops—honestly the hotel was perfect. I would recommend it over and over—and we landed here out of luck. The other side of the island has a bad case of sargassum so we needed to switch hotels—best switch ever!!!!

Everything about the property and service was great! In room dining was quick for breakfast. The location was near everything.

So in my process in choosing a place to stay for my 3 day weekend in key west I was stressed for two days due to the amount of options of places to choose from. I am more than satisfied i chose Opal Key.. the room was super clean, the amenities were amazing, the pool was perfectly populated with a great vibe and food/beverage options. It was in the best location possible, right outside duval street. It was worth the price and couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else during my stay.

The grounds were nicely maintained, however, the carpet in the hotel hallways needs to be cleaned and deodorized as it smelled of mildew due to the humid conditions on the island. The air conditioning units inside the guest rooms are very noisy and make it difficult to sleep. Room service order was incorrect on 3 occasions, however, the hotel administrative staff addressed and corrected the issue immediately. The pool bar staff is very responsive as well.

Wonderful stay! Friendly, accommodating staff, spacious suites, spotless rooms, complimentary water throughout the resort, and an unbeatable Key West location.

We had a room overlooking the pool. Despite being near the pool, the room was very quiet with a nice balcony. The rooms were large and accommodating. And it contain one of the most important things I look for in a property, a well stocked coffee bar. The concierge was excellent in getting us reservations in a hard to get into Resteraunt; at the last minute. The property is close to all the action on the shops and clubs on Duvall Street. Easy walking distance to everything around you. The only downside I saw was not being able to get a later. Check out because the flights leaving all left late in the afternoon on the airline that we flew.

Great place to stay with a great view. The Mexican restaurant and bar is amazing. Beautiful pool area as well.

Staff was excellent, very helpful and frequently checked in on our stay. Hotel was nice, grounds were nice and great location. Bed was very comfortable and room temperature was perfect. Would like to have had a dual vanity. My only real complaint is we had an ocean front room which the view was blocked by a cruise ship every day. This defeats the purpose of paying extra for an ocean front room. Don’t waste your money for the upgrade. Overall a very nice hotel with nice pool and restaurants.
