Opal Key Resort & Marina, Key West

Location, location, location!

Perfectly located. The service was exceptional. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, the grounds and pool area were gorgeous, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We especially loved being able to relax and enjoy the tropical atmosphere while still being close to all the fun Key West has to offer. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! We had such an amazing time and would absolutely stay at Opal Key West again. Highly recommend if you're looking for the perfect combination of relaxation, location, and that true Key West vibe! 🌴☀️🍹

This is the only place we stay at when visiting Key West. Feels like home away from home. Always clean and the location is extremely convenient. Marina view room is our favorite.

Also there can be a cruise ship docked right in the way of the sunset viewing, although they are usually gone before the sun goes down (summer). However Mallory Square is right next door and has great views. Pool was nice, a little small but on par for Key West. The topside bar area is a great place to watch the sunset. Nice giveaways at the pool, ice cold water, free sun screen lotion, ice cold cooling rags, free eye glass cleaner and wipe cloths. The room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Nice robes and slippers! Did not eat at the hotel as we wanted to experience several places in Key West that were recommended.

No fresh coffee at a Resort Hotel is preposterous. A select few of the staff choose to be rude to patrons, which is odd as most are great.

This was the 1st time I stayed at The Opal Key Resort. It was excellent! I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the resort itself. It is in a perfect location; I was very amazed how beautiful the grounds were well kept. Not a lot of noise which really doesn't bother me much. But it is placed where you are a block from Sunset pier, Sloppy Joes, Capt. Tony's, Hogs breath. That's just to name a few. The Margaritaville Cruise Camps right there. Docked in the Morning and gone by 6ish. As far as room rates, this was the least expensive of all the resorts, especially during Labor Day Weekend. For me, the most important thing was - they provide WATER! Yes, complementary. I didn't have to go to the store and get water. I didn't have a chance to hang at the pool, but it is a nice and clean area. The surroundings is like a lil community in itself. If you wish to go to an island, the ferry is $45.00 and it's right there. Oh, the breakfast was perfect each time! Wonderful resort to stay.

There is an adjoining restaurant with a bar. The food was very good. We had a Carnival cruise ship come one day, and I did read people complaining about it blocking the view. It had left before sunset so it didn't bother us.

WAY overpriced drinks at the pool bar!!

Beautiful resort right on the water and very close to everything. Super clean room and hotel, professional and very friendly staff. Huge pool, restaurant and multiple bars on site. We loved our stay!

Best Hotel

The Opal is in a perfect spot for those who want to see everything in old historic Key West. The restaurant there was so amazing and came in handy when it rained one night! Gorgeous outside views and the pool was perfect with great service. The room and hallways are old and a little beat up and could use a little upgrade.

Best stay in Key West. We will be back. Beautiful place. Staff all Very nice people. Best location on the island ! Just all around great place.
