If you’re looking for a relaxing beachfront getaway in La Jolla with great amenities and a laid-back atmosphere, this is the perfect spot. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the San Diego area!

Property was amazing but it needs to be updated. Buildings are old so need to be renovated. But it’s in an amazing location

The hotel seems to cater primarily to its members, and at times it felt more like a summer camp than a luxury resort. During our stay, the pool was closed for an entire day after a child had an accident in it. On the days it was open, it was so crowded that there wasn't an inch of space. We weren't able to use the pool once, and it was a major reason I booked. Finding a beach chair was nearly impossible, as large families would reserve multiple chairs for one another and leave them unused for hours. This was the biggest hotel disappointment I've had, especially given how expensive it was. I only wish I had spent more time reading reviews before booking.

I think with a different room, earlier check in, and some minor updates it could be great bc it’s a great location!

Great location.

Amazing property, rooms are outdated. But location, beach amenities pool and tennis are 10/10.

The pool reserved lane time was really a boomer, but them we got used to the schedule. I loved the family vibes too many kids and out kid had a blast

I love having barbecues on the beach with tables set up for your entire family to enjoy a sit down dinner. If you are looking for a brand new, marble clad hotel, this isn't it. If you want a relaxed upscale beach experience you can't go wrong with this property.

There were mice in our room - next day the hot chocolate packets were eaten through and rug was chewed up with mouse poop on floor. First time I have seen rodent infestation this bad at a hotel. Also security staff was rude and disrespectful- I was at the beach and he asked inquisitively in front of my kids and other guests whether I was a guest. I told him I was and he just walked off. I followed him and asked him why he asked and he blamed it on his own staff and said I needed a flag on my chair which I didn’t have. I asked if I can then get a flag. He reluctantly with a sigh said yes. Why did I have to ask for a flag if that is the reason why I was singled out?! Poor staff training and disrespectful security. Mouse infestation is a health hazard and should be dealt with. I provided photos of the mouse infestation to staff.

This is a great family vacation stay. The property has everything and you cannot beat the location! Right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants. Not that you need to go anywhere, there are plenty of eating places on site that are delicious. The staff is so helpful and nice, you really never need to leave. The grounds are constantly maintained. You can tell they take really great care of the property. While the rooms might not be the most updated, they are incredibly clean. I would definitely recommend!

Great family vacation. So nice to be directly on the beach and have staff set up chairs and umbrellas! Yes, the rooms are older and could use a reno, but it’s clean and comfortable. Can’t wait to go back.

What a lovely resort hotel right on the beach in La Jolla. The pool was great for swimming! The restaurant food was delicious, the free coffee was convenient, and overall it was a fantastic vacation spot. We had a 2 bed standard room, which came with a small kitchen and large pull out couch.

Perfect ocean view! Staff was helpful and room was clean. It was nice to be right on the beach.

Been going to the LJBTC for decades..... It remains wonderful with helpful friendly staff, great parking, and a unique setting.

This property has a classic feel, it is a bit dated, but so well done that the dated aspect of it makes it feel nostalgic.
