We didn’t stay they gave us a room with lots of steps and no handrails next to their construction site that they didn’t tell us about before we booked there. But on a good note the management gave us our money back about 4 days later after my daughter called the management. The parking is not at the hotel so it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get your car from the valet and it costs $45 dollars a day. So to say it was not a good or relaxing experience is an understatement. FYI - The valet told us that the noise is unbelievable Monday through Friday. We went there on the weekend so we didn’t experience the construction noise.

We requested a higher level room. Management made it happen. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Loved our stay.

I was assigned a noisy first-floor room next to the lobby, elevators and main entrance, with constant music and foot traffic. The room also appeared to be an accessible room, which I hadn’t requested. I didn’t care about having a view or a premium room—I just wanted a quiet place to sleep. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a good night’s sleep during my entire stay because of the constant noise. I asked to be moved, and the front desk told me to pack my belongings and leave them by the door before I left for work because they would switch my room the next morning. When I returned that evening, nothing had been done. I was simply told the hotel was full, even though I saw guests checking in and out throughout my stay. And weirdly enough, two of my colleagues who checked in after me were assigned rooms on higher floors, including the 10th floor with the ocean view… The staff were friendly, but they weren’t helpful at all. Every request I made—including a quieter room and, on my checkout day, a quiet place to work after checking out—was met with “not available.” Housekeeping also left a dirty cleaning cloth in my room one day. The highlight of the hotel was the bar on 11th floor. The food, drinks, service, and views were all excellent. The hotel is relatively close to La Jolla Shores, but you’ll need a car to get to everything.

Great hotel in a great location!

Did not have my room ready until 45 minutes past check-in time. I feel like they were understaffed.
-
The restaurant had mediocre food, but also nice staff. I wish the hotel had some beach chairs to borrow, as this is a pricey stay and one amenity would have been nice.

nice location, nice ocean view from room

Was running late getting to the hotel, and decided to call to make sure to check in on time. Was then informed by hotel that they "unfortunately" did not have the suite that we had reserved (on June 10 and confirmed on June 11th)...? They claimed that they did not have my contact information to let me know prior to us showing up. Obviously I cannot even "cancel" the reservation now, and will have to figure out how to get a refund on a suite that was paid for, but that we never got to enjoy on Fathers Day as planned! Shameful!

I felt that continental breakfast should be included in the price we paid per night also the $30 dollar credit for the morning seemed like a scam to get you with more charges this needs to be improved !

We stayed in the one bedroom suite. High floor. Great view. The room was well designed and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The added poolside coffee bar is a nice upgrade to the property. Location is convenient. Price is mid-range but worth it.

Very clean and quiet. Staff was very kind and hospitable. Absolutely would stay here again $

The hotel itself on the outside looks pretty ran down. But the inside is beautiful it’s definitely aesthetically pleasing. Staff was OK. We had issues with parking.

If you are a light sleeper and get room 1009, ask for a different room. The restaurant is directly above it, and chairs are being moved making noise until after midnight. Then around 3:30-4:30 am the food deliveries are made. Very loud rolling cart noises and boxes being dropped on the floor above. When I brought it up to the front desk, they gave me ear plugs. Great view, convenient location, but we didn't get much sleep!
