Scripps Inn La Jolla Cove

We would stay here again.

Excellent hotel with breathtaking views of the ocean. It is literally mere steps from the beach. Our friends got married at The Wedding Bowl across the street and it was beautiful and super convenient. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The only complaint is limited parking. But it's to be expected at a beach front hotel.

This is definitely a budget motel. There were stains on the furniture and the sheets and overall a funny smell in the room. The location is the only perk.

Just wonderful for my mom’s birthday trip! We loved having a small kitchen, and the views of the water (across the street literally) were stunning! We will stay here again. Parking was worth the small fee,

Okay, this Inn needs to freshen up-carpet, sofa, bathtub all a bit shabby. But our room was spacious and...you stay here for the LOCATION! You cross the street and you're at the beach. You go next door and you're at the Modern Art Museum. Walk down the street and you have an array of restaurants ( and 31 Flavors ice cream).

Best view is probably room 15. This place was great bc everything was withing walking distance. Def recommend staying here if you want to be close to the beach.

Staff was great and tried their best and location was great but cleaning was terrible pink & black mold in bathrooms on tub tiles and floors. Missing grout. Rusty hinges on doors and windows. Dirt in windows. Screen broken. Furniture in reasonable condition. Bed was hard as a rock! Hot water was out for a whole day and AC was broken the whole 3 night stay! Maintenance guy couldn’t fix it. AC guy couldn’t come for over a week! Sadly a bad experience

So cozy and includes a kitchen with stover and microwave. The porch is perfect for drinking coffee and looking out at the ocean. Will definitely be returning!

We enjoyed our stay at the Scripps Inn. Everyone was nice and helpful. We loved being so close to the beach. It was beautiful. They only problem is that it could be a bit noisy. Our room faced the ocean, which as amazing. We could hear the water at night, but we could also hear cars and delivery trucks late at night and early in the morning. For the location, view, cleanliness and customer service, we would stay here again.

Great location !!

Scripps inn was a rare fine for us being strategically located across from the beach was a plus. The staff greeted us very warmly and professionally and upgraded our room upon our arrival. Our two bedroom suite felt like a little apartment. It was very cozy and nicely decorated with a beautiful view of the ocean outside the bedroom and living room windows are only regret that was that we stayed there only one night because that’s all we could afford but Scripps Inn made our 12th anniversary very memorable

Great, great location! Beautiful La Jolla. Across the street from the scenic coast, fabulous nature and sea life. Romantic sunset views. Friendly, helpful staff and parking on site. We stayed on the first floor and we could hear the family with kiddos above us.

We had an absolutely amazing overnight. Stay at the Scripps Inn. I would highly recommend it and hope to get a chance to be there again someday!
