Scripps Inn La Jolla Cove

Great location !!

Scripps inn was a rare fine for us being strategically located across from the beach was a plus. The staff greeted us very warmly and professionally and upgraded our room upon our arrival. Our two bedroom suite felt like a little apartment. It was very cozy and nicely decorated with a beautiful view of the ocean outside the bedroom and living room windows are only regret that was that we stayed there only one night because that’s all we could afford but Scripps Inn made our 12th anniversary very memorable

Location is better than I could have dreamed!

We had an absolutely amazing overnight. Stay at the Scripps Inn. I would highly recommend it and hope to get a chance to be there again someday!

The property small, cute and quiet. Perfect ocean view from every suit. Perfect location away from hassle&bassle of very busy park, at the same time it’s less than 10 minutes walk. We stayed in 2 bedrooms suit, clean and very comfortable. And what is very convenient it has kitchenette. So coffee and breakfast at your fingertips. Definitely will stay there in a future.

The location was great. The property has plenty of parking spots. Having amenities such as coffee and microwave was a big plus. The communication regarding after hours check in should be clearer but other than that no issues.

Loved our stay, hotel was nice overall. Air conditioning worked intermittently. Views of beach, breathtaking.

Perfect view! Price :(

Great location. Quiet, next door to beautiful Museum of Contemporary Art which has a lovely outdoor cafe and indoor/outdoor seated restaurant. Right on the ocean. We walked everywhere. There are some stairs to some rooms but we re in our 70’s and managed.

Beautiful views from our room and great location a few steps from the beach. Walk across the road for Sunday morning yoga or to walk along the tidepools and enjoy the sunset.

Can’t wait to return! Scripps Inn is directly across from the ocean. The rooms are charming. Recommend: Ask for ocean view if available. There is no breakfast but the museum has an excellent breakfast and lunch. Easy walk to museum and the center LJ COVE.

Great location right across from ocean. Hotel was small so it was quiet. Perfect for families. Would definitely stay again.

We loved the location and view from the room. The room itself was older, but very clean and comfortable! Check in was super easy and staff was amazing.

The parking was extremely convenient and safe. It was located right by our room and the front lobby. All of the staff were very kind and friendly. The location was just across the street from the beach. We enjoyed walking along the walkway above the beach with great views of the sea lions and many different kinds of sea birds!

Hmm, this is a hard review. This is the only oceanside inn in La Jolla. It is charming and ideally situated, and for sure we would stay there again, but we didn't get a good night's sleep in three nights as we could hear every creek in the room above us, and the shared space was right outside our room, and the other guests weren't considerate. 5 stars for the room and the location, but ask for the 3rd, top, floor!

Check in was fast and easy. I called ahead for an early check in and they were able to accommodate and upgraded our room in doing so. The location was better than expected, we didn’t have to step outside to view the sunset. We enjoyed the view right from the living room. It was a short walk for breakfast at the museum cafe and lunch or dinner on Prospect St. We loved the beach towels available for guests and the cute sundeck where others gathered. The room was so convenient with stove, toaster, and the kitchen sink!! It was a delightful stay - we are definitely coming back.
