Great experience overall. Restaurant, golf, hiking, pool bar…

We had dinner at A.R. Valentien, where our waiter, Ryan, and the entire staff were attentive, welcoming, and provided outstanding service. The food was absolutely delicious, light, fresh, and beautifully prepared. We also enjoyed breakfast at The Grill. My 9-year-old son absolutely loved the pancakes, while my husband and I both ordered omelets that were incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. Every meal we had was excellent. One of our favorite parts of the stay was relaxing by the pool and enjoying the gorgeous views. The hotel also made the Fourth of July extra special for families by hosting a fun celebration with crafts, cookies and lemonade, cookie decorating, and kites for the kids to fly. Our son had the best time, and we loved the warm, family friendly atmosphere. The valet staff were also wonderful, friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. This was truly a memorable stay, and we can’t wait to return next year. If you’re looking for a beautiful hotel with exceptional service, delicious dining, and a welcoming family atmosphere, we highly recommend staying here!

Amazing place!

It’s beautiful I have stayed at the hotel numerous times, I have held events there, and I have always enjoyed it. This time I booked a room through Booking.com and got a cheap, old room. It was clear that this was intentional. Of course I paid full price. When I asked at the front desk, I was told that because I booked through Booking.com and not directly, I was being penalized with a cheap room. This is my last time there. Shame on them.

Beautiful property, stunning views of the legendary golf course and quiet surroundings

I'm very disappointed that when we booked the price on the website clearly said "total with taxes and fees" however, when we arrived we had to pay an extra $75 for parking and $65 resort fee plus tax. The wifi did not work properly in our room or in several spots on the property. The men's steam room was out of service. The room was very dark and old fashioned.

Perfect hotel at a perfect location!

Very nice and comfortable. Room was a nice size. Warm and cozy.

The pool, the courtyard, it’s all fine, the restaurants were OK, some of them labeled icons were not exactly iconic, but the one thing that stood out was the staff. The staff were really really nice, very accommodating and very very professional and great. The room was nice, it was accommodating, it was clean, no complaints, this setting is truly beautiful but our expectations for this price point were a little bit more.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pool was very nice and we loved the area. Only downside was the room was very dated. There was a big wet spot on our carpet when we arrived. We are pretty certain the previous guest had a dog that urinated on the carpet. There was also dog poop in the hallway during our stay. Very unfortunate.

The guys out front welcoming you wearing their kilts The restaurant was 10 minutes walk from the room Front desk staff were arrogant and unhelpful This is a golf club trying to offer a hotel service, but it is basically just a golf club for middle aged white men.

We had a good overall stay at the lodge
-
The staff are exceptional. We are there for breakfast and dinner and it went above and beyond with taste and presentation.

Everything was great! The food was delicious, the rooms were comfortable, clean, and big. The only thing I noticed was that they had Shampoo x 2 and body wash in the shower instead of Shampoo and Conditioner, but that might’ve been a small oversight. Would still recommend one hundred percent.
