I think the most important feature of any hotel review is: Would you go back? In this case, emphatically- yes. It’s a smaller place, not some grand resort on massive acreage, so if that’s what you want, this isn’t it. But, if you want quiet, comfortable, well-appointed, professionally designed rooms and grounds; this is an excellent choice. We’d never been to Laguna, so we were pleasantly surprised by LPP’s proximity to beaches and restaurants, but the mimosas+continental breakfast on the patio each morning meant we didn’t have to leave the property for great service and a quality meal to start our days. Again, we’d go back.

First, the pros: It is right across the street from the more expensive Montage Laguna, which makes a convenient, more affordable location for anyone who is attending events at the Montage and/or who wants to have nearby beach access. Le Petit Pali is a great concept and shines on the amenities - Diptyque toiletries, robes & slippers, and generous breakfast featuring Le Fermiere yogurt, goods from Rye Bakery, and mimosas. The staff was very responsive via the text feature and was kind enough to run a few missing toiletries up to our room. However, there were a number of areas where Le Petit Pali's execution was lacking. The card key-activated lock on our door was almost falling off of its hinges. Housekeeping did not refill basic toiletries despite us leaving a note with their tip with the request. They also threw our pajamas onto the dog bed while making our bed, which we found to be very unsanitary. Although the staff was great about answering text messages and running things up to our room, the main reason that they needed to do so was because amenities were not provided or refilled. Service at the breakfast bar was unpredictable, which was inconvenient only because there was no way for us to pour our own drinks. Overall, go here for the location and thoughtful extras, but avoid if you expect consistent service and don't want to pay premium hotel rates for what basically amounts to a fancy motel.

This unique boutique hotel is charming! It was quite a walk to the beach, however worth every step. The amenities, especially the steamer were greatly appreciated as we had traveled and needed to freshen dress clothes for a wedding. A great stay and I’d highly recommend.

This was our third time staying at a Petit Pali property and out of all the times, it was unfortunately our least favorite of the three. The property is very well maintained and the rooms are very cozy and comfortable. The pool was also perfect and well-maintained. The temperature was just right and we enjoyed using it. While the breakfast is pretty lackluster, the effort is appreciated and the service was fantastic, although on our third day, we would’ve appreciated a change up in the menu. The walk to the beach also wasn’t too bad, from the property, and while we didn’t utilize them, it was nice of the property to offer beach chairs and umbrellas. For the most part, the staff was all very friendly during our stay. Where we found our issues was mostly in the service. We had to request fresh towels three separate occasions, all throughout the trans course of one day. It was a bit frustrating having a to come back to our room and finding no fresh towels on more than one occasion. Our A/C unit leaked at one point and we had to tell the staff to come twice to inspect it and make sure it was okay. We were offered a glass of wine after the second time, which we appreciated, but it was still cumbersome to have to wait to get back into our room while the room was inspected. There seemed to be a staff shortage, which of course, we understand things like these happen. We enjoyed our stay the most we could, but would definitely consider staying elsewhere during our next trip.

It is a very cute place, but they are very understaffed. They are understaffed. Literally taped a handwritten note on the front desk. Always out of pool towels. I mentioned this on a Saturday afternoon and the dirty pile was still there mid-morning and no clean towels still were provided. Unacceptable for the price we paid.

Not usually the newest properties, but I don’t really care. Breakfast was good. Easy access to the beach, right across the street. Shopping center next to it was a plus. Good coffee and sushi options.

Great location. Small rooms but attractive and unique. Very good bedding. Nice pool area. Breakfast could use better pastries. The sourdough croissants not good. Woukd stay again. And would book their other properties.

The aesthetics are always on point as Pali society does. Love the cuteness vintage style in the room. Bonus points for the baking cookies! It was so tasty. Also nice to have beach towels provided with one minute walk to the beach. Treasure island is my hidden gem and it is nice to have my favorite hotel brands just have a spot close to it! So I could be refreshed after the beach day, having cookies and showers and then return to the beach ready for more! The hotel staff are super nice and friendly, and that always adds up to the experience! The sound from upstairs can still be heard by that is more a minor issue.
