Amazing location and views, beautiful property and amazing staff!

A very special thank you to the manager, who went above and beyond by upgrading us to a premium oceanfront room. We had originally booked a standard oceanfront room, but because my husband has difficulty walking, they thoughtfully moved us to a room that was much more convenient. That act of kindness made such a difference and meant more to us than words can express. The room was absolutely immaculate—beautifully maintained, comfortable, and the breathtaking ocean views were unforgettable. Housekeeping did an outstanding job, and every detail reflected the pride they take in the resort. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. It’s rare to find a place where you feel so valued as a guest. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so special. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend the Surf & Sand Resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Laguna Beach.

Great staff and view

From the minute we arrived we felt right at home. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean bright and very modern and the view even better. We were celebrating our birthdays and had dinner at Splashes. Again the view was amazing. The cocktails were so so, but everything else was great. Would recommend this place in a second.

Absolutely loved it here! Property is beautiful, staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Our room was perfect, with the waves crashing right below us. I had Ali, the concierge manager set up our room while at dinner for my proposal to my girlfriend. It was perfect with rose pedals and candles. Definitely will be back!!

Amazing place

It was the perfect romantic getaway for us. Everything felt relaxing, special, and memorable from the moment we arrived. We already can’t wait to book another room and come back again soon. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and romantic escape.

This is a true five star hotel, with a beautiful location, and excellent service. The hotel is well-maintained, and while it can be pricey, it's worth it.

Only complaint is they list as Expedia VIP but they didn’t honor it when I arrived. They argued about it and tried to charge $800 per night more for the upgrade which is free to VIP members. Even the manager did not understand it. They shouldn’t be on the program if they do not honor it. I would return.

Smoking came from a persons room and because you keep your doors open , it came into ours and it was terrible for a few hues
