Motel 6 – Lake City, Fl – Medical Center

Large room with a microwave and mini fridge. Very close to interstate.

Over all everything is good an hope to be there again in the future

Arrived and front desk was very nice but the room was not clean. The sheets had blood stain and yellow stains. There were used soaps. Towels all very small and stained. Smelled like cigarettes even though nonsmoking. Would not ever stay at any motel.

No breakfast offered.

This hotel was the second most discussing hotel I’ve seen in my 60 years. The floors were so horrible that I never took my shoes off. There was crap on the wall. The rooms were nonsmoking but one smelled like an ashtray, the other smelled of marijuana. Thank goodness I checked the window in back of the room because it was slightly open and unlocked. If we had not just traveled over 13 hours in all the storms, I would have demanded a refund and kept going. Lesson learned for me. I pray that this review helps you to keep going. DO NOT STOP HERE!!!!!

The hotel is a little tired although they have updated it somewhat. Rooms are clean. The staff are helpful and very nice. Wish they had morning coffee service in the lobby but the IHOP is just up the street.

Friendly staff I felt safe because I am a travel nurse and solo travel palace was clean coffee fresh enjoyed my stay

The listing shows a clean, modern room with well-maintained floors, walls, furniture, and bathroom fixtures. What we walked into was the complete opposite. The room smelled terrible, the beds felt damp, and the floors were so filthy that my clean white socks turned black after walking around for a short time. The bathroom was especially disgusting. When I went to take a shower, I found long hair hanging from the supposedly clean towels. There were visible gaps around fixtures, damaged walls, exposed openings, poor patchwork repairs, rusted plumbing, and signs of neglect throughout the room. The door didn't seal properly, allowing light from outside to shine through. There were also bugs/spiders present. The noise level was awful, making it difficult to sleep or relax. The entire room felt dirty and poorly maintained. I understand that hotel photos are often taken when rooms are at their best, but there should not be this much difference between the advertised room and the actual condition of the property. The photos online suggest a clean, updated hotel. The room we received felt more like a neglected motel that hasn't been properly maintained in years. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

Didn't have breakfast The door to the room didn't seem secure and it had a big gap at the bottom bugs or any insects could come in

There was a breakfast? The shower was so disgusting that we didn’t use it, the walls were paper thin. We were just so tired but I couldn’t rest well, convinced I was going to get bedbugs

A no frills run down hotel with very polite and friendly staff. Bring your own shampoo, they don’t provide any. No breakfast. Broken doors hair in shower, dirty shower curtain. For the price though, it wasn’t bad.
