La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lakeland West

Bathroom door was hard to open and was coming apart due to the moisture in bathroom when i came in i noticed a rain stain that looked like blood smeared from a scrape other than that they should put chemicals when pool closes so that costumers that payed could still use it during day time

We came for the holiday. The hotel was the right price and clean.

I was booked into room 620 and the shower water was warm but then turned shower head on it only gave out cold water. Other than that everything was good.

The bed was comfortable. The hotel staff felt disempowered, if they told a guest to do something the guest would stiff them. One guest blocked my car in with a truck and a trailer attached. Earlier in the day I parked in a legal parking spot in front of the truck. The guest then came out of the hotel and called me fat and stupid because I parked in a legal parking spot next to where their truck with the trailer was illegally parked. Nothing was done. Later that evening, he parked behind my car to intentionally block me in. I raised my concerns to front desk and they told me they have no recourse. At the same time, an individual matching the description that screamed at me earlier attempted to file a complaint about the lobby bathroom not being open after a certain time and proceeded to berate this employee who was helping me get this guys car moved. Im not even sure he was a guest at the hotel because she had no record of the liscense plate. He was making it difficult for most guests to enjoy their stay because i would go to do laundry and he would be outside screaming to let him in because he didnt have a keycard. Florida law states that if someone is on your property and parked illegally the property owner reserves the right to tow your car at your expense. Im not sure what happened but he was gone the next morning. The staff showed extreme patience in the face of adversity however, no adult should be berated for doing their job. I would also like to point out the guest in question was smoking a strawberry flavored vape in your hotel which im pretty sure is against state law if not just your hotels policies.

The people who work at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating lobby was very clean. Rooms were decent! Roaches we’re visible crawling on the table next to my luggage. Loitering homeless people. People living out of their vehicle in the parking lot! Police and fire were there on 2 separate occasions!

Air conditioner in the room worked great, kept our room very chilly. Employees were consistently cleaning the facility. Quiet location and overall quiet hotel. Breakfast options were very limited.

The second room had water damage everywhere and made me feel like I might get bed bugs. Obvious drug addicts were all over the place and I hope that they do not try to fabricate a reason to keep my deposit.

More of a homeless shelter than a hotel.
