Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lansing, MI

We had a mice room & they moved us because our room was 80°. Everything is going to be really nice eventually. August 2026 they are going through upgrades and renovations. Renovations going on & not being warned on Booking.

Nice large room

Nothing The hotel was under remodel construction with open insulation and debris, broken cardboarded up doors, dirty carpets, pillows and mattress with bodily fluids and lipstick on them and rusty vents. Tried to call front desk to ask for clean linene and the phone didn't work, the tv didn't work. Called booking to get a refund and didn't get one.

The staff was very friendly. Our room smelled like either feet or dog and we were right next to the breakfast area so it got loud in the morning. Otherwise everything was clean and the breakfast was your average hotel buffet so it worked!!

We complained to the front desk, and thankfully they moved us to a room on the third floor, which is much better. But the problems didn’t exactly end there. There’s been no maid service, no replacement coffee supplies, and, because apparently the hotel wanted to add one more plot twist, our room keys stopped working. Honestly, this place is just a hot mess. At this point, I’m not sure if we’re staying at a hotel or participating in some kind of hospitality-themed escape room.

The Tv Antenna was messed up but luckily we had brought our xbox so we could set up our own stuff. The room was pretty large and clean. The property was doing a lot of renovations and there was a lot of banging so thats the only reason this place is 4 stars. There were times were walking through and there was wood in the way or banging from the roof, however I do know that it just the process of getting renovations done. The breakfast options in the morning were great and tasty! Check in and Check out was super easy, it was a good little place for our stay-cation!

Did not have breakfast. The staff was nice. The OLD bed, crappy old tv. Small crappy pillows. Old dirty carpet and old dirty furniture. Terrible lighting in the bathroom. No updated electrical outlets for charging.

The beds were the only nice thing about our stay. Lightbulbs were out and they made us change them. Wouldn’t let us use the pool, tv didn’t work. And we sat there in the dark and silence most of the night. We had to play on our phones when it got dark and use them as flashlights until we got the new lightbulbs. Which we changed ourselves because there was no one available to help us. Didn’t even receive our $100 dollar deposit back,

The lady on the night shift at the front desk was exceptional! Breakfast was good, very fresh with variety. Renovations were disruptive and loud, TV wasn’t connected yet as the cable cords had not arrived. Elevator was extremely dirty.

One foyer light and one bedside light, that’s it. But we understand that you are going through a remodeling so maybe you will be adding more lights? Noisy a/c which would not run “fan” only. “Off” or compressor kicking on and off all night. Fantastic bathroom with a large vanity with room for both him and her stuff. But why muted light? Makes it tricky shaving.

I know Michigan is a pot state but does it make it legal to smoke in a smoke free building? Had to smell it in the hallways with my grandkids.

Wi-Fi not working and no cable TV , roos had just been renovated, still lots of dust from work in process. Had to change rooms because the j trap fell off of the sink.
