Hilton Garden Inn Lansing West

We travel to Lansing yearly and we will definitely be staying here again. ***We even had an alert to take shelter for a tornado while we where staying here. The staff made sure to call all rooms for those who didn't receive the alert of their phones. They kept all guest calm....even a bus full of kids who stopped to take shelter here, Wonderful staff!

I didn't like that I had to pay high price for breakfast

Clean room. Great stay.

At first glance, the hotel and room appeared clean and well maintained. The common areas were presentable, and the room initially gave a positive impression. Unfortunately, that impression changed when I went to take a shower. I found a used bar of soap left behind on a shower ledge that clearly had not been wiped down between guests. Even more concerning, the shower floor was extremely slippery. Not only did this raise questions about the cleanliness of the shower, but it also felt like a safety hazard. Finding evidence that the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned made it difficult to feel confident about the overall cleanliness of the room. While the hotel appears nice on the surface, attention to housekeeping details is critical, especially in areas that directly affect guest safety and hygiene. I hope management addresses these issues, as the property otherwise has potential. A more thorough cleaning process would go a long way toward improving the guest experience.

Clean, quiet. The staff was great. Printed out instructions to follow map to get across town.

Everything was fantastic aside from people not watching their kids in the pool or telling them to stop screaming. I know kids will be kids and I'm perfectly fine with it as long as they're properly supervised. Plus the pool room echoes a lot so the screaming was a bit much. But I was more concerned about their safety as the floor was soaked and they were running and jumping into the pool. But everything was clean. And the hot tub was hot which we loved!

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. It has been along time since i have ran into staff who are sincerely nice and upbeat naturally. From maintenance, cleaners and management. Not a one displayed trained welcoming and schooled niceness.

The staff were lovely and the hotel was beautiful. The breakfast isn't free, but I had a yummy dinner there one of the nights and found the price very reasonable (plus there are food places in the same parking lot and across the street). An easy drive to MSU.
