We had a wonderful stay at Posada Hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The pools were definitely the highlight!!! they were beautiful, relaxing, and perfect for spending the day. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Property was clean and we loved the pool!
-
Older interior rooms but very nice property. Very surprised at how nice the total property was including pools, bars, workout room, etc. will stay again

He hotel was great except for the air conditioning it was cool but cold in the living area and not cold at all in the bedroom. It is a old hotel so I guess it comes with the territory.

Architecture Felt like staying at a government barracks and the staff only cater to the border patrol agents and everyone else didn’t matter, not hotel 4 star service at all. Restaurant opens and closes when they want ignoring paying customers after serving the government personnel.

Great stay overall

It felt like being in a villa out of country and time just eased away. It has that wonderful feeling of old and vintage with a touch of new. Poolside with tropical flowers foliage, old stone building designs, rustic iron balcony decor , wooden table and chairs for relaxing or coffee was like a dream. They have such amazing building decor in the main lobby and some exquisite art to enjoy. Try the restaurant or have food delivered to the lobby.. seriously worth a visit. For kids & family time or just adults. Im not gonna say disliked. But I know some people have expectations of modern.. this isnt a holiday in or hyatt... this is a vintage historical setting. Creaks , older carpets, ect..

Location, size and pools

Lived in Laredo my whole life, obviously you know about La Posada Hotel, but I had never stayed there. It was amazing! Two pools, a jacuzzi, crazy spacious rooms, it was fantastic. They also ended up giving us a last minute room upgrade, so that was a bonus.

This is an antique hotel with a rich history. Some details, like the rugs, need updating to give an upscale feel, and the sheets and towels in the rooms also need an upgrade. However, the restaurant serves good food, the staff is very friendly, and there are two pools to enjoy in a natural setting.

This property possesses a charming history, unique architectural features and fine location in the old downtown. Valet parking is 24 hours and very convenient at about 20 dollars a night. The two pools were clean and available. The bedroom suite had plenty of space, a mini fridge and coffee maker. Sadly, some of the furniture showed long term wear and had soiled and worn arm rests. All in all I recommend this hotel to anyone interested in its history and character and tolerant of a few imperfections.
