The problems started at check-in. We received our room keys, but the front desk gave us no information or instructions about the breakfast that was included with our stay. Nobody told us that reservations were needed for breakfast during our four-day stay. When we arrived at our room, the key did not work. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for someone to come and let us into the room. The next morning, we started looking for the restaurant where our included breakfast was served. We were staying at Encore, but the breakfast restaurant was at Wynn, and the Encore breakfast restaurant was closed. Nobody at check-in had explained where we needed to go or what we needed to do. My wife is diabetic and needed to eat, but the other restaurants and cafés had waits of approximately 1½ to 2 hours. This was extremely frustrating and could have been avoided if the front desk had simply provided proper information when we checked in. The room itself was also disappointing for a hotel of this level. It was not as clean as I expected, and the bathroom looked like it needed updating. The grout between the floor tiles was black. Even the toiletries were inadequate—we were given a very small tube of shampoo for two people. With temperatures around 95 degrees and the need to shower more than once a day, it was barely enough.
