TownePlace Suites by Marriott Dallas Lewisville

When I got there 2 other people ahead of me; there was a wait and the representative did not knowledge us or speak from beginning to end; such as "Welcome, I will be right with you". I was asked if I wanted the 2nd or 1st floor; I stated it did not matter. Went to the room to my room on the 2nd floor: the sofa and chair was heavily stained, the shelving in one of the rooms were torn down, several tares were in the carpet. I immediately went back downstairs to the damage to the room, and I was told that there was no other room available at the time; the outside was nice but the inside needed lots of work with the carpeting and walls; hallway walls were damaged with holes painted over and not repaired. This was not the Marriott accommodations that I was used to staying in. I took several photos and informed the front desk to ensure I would not be charged for any damages; during my stay I needed toilet paper and towels and was able to get them immediately when we went to the front desk. I was only there for 2 nights the beds were comfortable and restful but happy that I had a very short stay and was out for most of the day and night. On check-out Sunday, kids were running and knocking on the door up and down the hallway. Before then, the room were soundproof and restful. I was already up packing and ready to head out.

She eventually moved us after initially saying there were no rooms available, but the AC in the second room did not work either. The next morning, I spoke with the manager, who was extremely helpful. She quickly found us a clean, cool room, apologized for the inconvenience, and did not charge us for that night. The housekeepers were also very kind and immediately looked for solutions once they learned that our AC was not working. The maintenance employee was helpful as well, and I could see that he was working hard to fix the hotel’s AC problems. Unfortunately, we could not use the pool because the water was green, which was disappointing for my children. The hotel could definitely use some upgrades, and the night receptionist could have been more helpful. Other than those issues, everything else went well, and I truly appreciated the manager and staff members who worked hard to resolve the situation.

The cleaning staff and the staff that served breakfast were very nice. The room was spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff was not welcoming at all. Both ladies were not courteous, it seemed they were in a hurry even though there were no other guests arriving/checking out except us,they lacked of manners to work at a front desk. If they hate their job maybe do something else? The $100!fee for bringing a dog is pricey.

Latoya reed was so nice and very welcoming. Made us feel right at home. It’s employees like her that will get me to come back

Unfortunately, the overall condition of the hotel was very disappointing. The property appeared poorly maintained in several areas. I observed multiple missing ceiling tiles with wiring and other components exposed, as well as several room-entry key card mechanisms with their covers missing. Inside the room, the furniture was badly stained, the curtains had holes, and the sheets were stained. The air conditioning did not adequately cool the room, and the bathroom water pressure was extremely low. The TV and remote also did not work properly. Even after the remote was replaced, I had to troubleshoot the TV myself using information I found online. The hotel fitness center was also disappointing. It was an extremely small room that was hot and musty, and the equipment was visibly stained. I ended up using nearby commercial gyms instead. I stayed for five days and made the best of it, but I would not book this property again. The staff and location were definite positives, but the cleanliness, maintenance issues, and overall condition of the hotel need significant improvement.

Breakfast was good, great location, rooms were nice and comfortable bed They were totally out of ALL drinks and snacks, they were filling them up at 11,AM on Sunday

EXCELLENT, CLEAN, SAFE ! Large, Spacious, Clean, Comfortable rooms. Absolutely the BEST PLACE to stay in DFW !

Comfortable suite and nice kitchen too. It was a nice surprise that there was a TV in each bedroom and the main room. It really was a nice place to stay! The TV remotes were not working well with the the main room TV. At least we figure out the buttons to use on the TV!

No internet, bad AC, no cable, and couldnt make key cards so there were no working locks on the doors. I left immediately and stayed across the street

The hotel was relatively clean, though you can definitely tell it’s been given the “landlord special” throughout the years. During our stay, the WiFi was down the entire stay, conveniently being repaired as we were checking out. Upon our arrival and entry into the room we immediately noticed a stagnant feeling & smell of just ick and humidity. We tried to adjust the AC but it never did start blowing. We visited at the end of July in Texas, so you can imagine. We tried to ask the front desk about it and they said “that’s Texas for ya”. Acting as if the climate is SO different. (We’re from Oklahoma, it’s not) i can tell with absolute certainty it wasn’t just “Texas for ya” considering the hall wall and lobby were perfectly cool and we weren’t smacked in the face with heat until we walked into our room each time. We ended up purchasing a fan from a local store just to be able to sleep comfortably. Overall, I’d say the staff was fine, not unfriendly but not overly friendly either, AC and WIFI definitely don’t work properly & the room was surface clean. Bed was comfortable and that was about the only positive note.
