Very clean and well maintained, good location I don’t think it’s right that you charge for parking.

The Campbell House *looks* lovely. My experience for two nights there wasn’t. The air conditioning unit could not maintain temperature so it was either uncomfortably warm or freezing. I woke up multiple times just due to this. Several family members were also staying at the hotel and this seemed to be true across rooms and in different parts of the hotel. Secondly, the odor was not ideal at best. It was musty to the point of even clothes I didn’t wear needing to be washed because they smelled like the room. I know this next part is somewhat outside the control of the hotel, but the second night I was there I was woken up by the smell of skunk spray pouring into my room (and not the herby kind of skunk smell). The night staff offered to let me switch rooms, but the only room available was two down from where I was and also smelled like skunk. Lastly, and I know this is a small thing, but the chain on the toilet kept getting stuck under the flap, leaving the toilet running so I had to take the top off and pull it out a few times. This could be a great hotel with its beauty and history, but in my two days there it’s not there yet.

Very friendly and communicative staff. Beautiful lobby area. The room was nice and updated. The check-in system was down so couldn't get into room for a few hours. This was not staff's fault as they tried to accommodate everyone but it did put a damper on stay.

Dont add an extra day and you will be ok

The property is old but maintained considering the age. $15 for self parking is ridiculous. The room and bathroom were small. Towels were provided but no wash cloths.

This is my second stay here and if I ever come back to Lexington, I would stay here again. I love this place!

Accept that this is a nice classic older facility that reflects the history and flavor of KY Bluegrass Country and everything is enjoyable. However, some concessions were made to stay here vs. newer, more modern options nearby. Our room had an unusual layout that required sitting on the bed to watch the TV that could not be viewed from the sofa and sitting area - which faced the hanging closet??? The bathroom was truly challenged for space due to it's small size, despite this being a size-upgraded room. Overall, this is a great facility targeted for group conferences, receptions, and meetings. I discovered that, since I stayed here a while back, the pool was replaced by a ballroom. The dining room, bar, and entertainment were convenient, but prices were comparatively on the high side. Breakfast food and service, not included, had a number of issues and needs corrected by management, since competitive hotels offer free breakfast buffets. This still is an interesting place to stay, if one seeks an alternative from the look-a-like hotel chain options.

The property is convenient to UK, the rooms are comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was delicious Slow elevator was really our only complaint

The staff was super nice! Property is very dated and needs a great deal of work. No fridge or microwave in rooms. Not the normal standard hotel for the Curio Hilton Hotel.
