Only 1 mile from Loon Mountain Ski Resort this family-owned and operated hotel is at the entrance to the Kancamagus Highway. It offers an indoor pool 2 restaurants and free Wi-Fi. The basic guest rooms at Kancamagus Lodge feature a fridge and TV. Some offer a 32-inch flat-screen TV or a balcony. Open for breakfast and dinner Brittany's Restaurant serves homemade dishes out the patio overlooking the mountains or in the dining room. Guests can also enjoy snacks and sandwiches in CJ's Penalty Box sports bar. Additional recreational activities at the Kancamagus include 2 firepits a grill area with picnic tables and a children's play area. Staff was lovely. Great mom and pop feel. No crappy answering services just real people. Location is good. Unfortunately those were the only things we really liked. Biggest complaint was the cleanliness. There were multiple kinds of bugs that seem to be infesting the pipes, including silver fish. That's a bit of a deal breaker for me.

Controls for shower faucet is deceptive. You must gently pull out to get water flowing and then turn to select temperature. More like a Moen! The tub/shower floor can be very slippery so use caution.

The staff were absolutely amazing. Very accommodating and was pleasant during every interaction. WiFi only works in certain spots so if you intend on making a business call or using a computer, try to have a room closer to the office. The beds were not comfiest and the sheets were stained. The pool was nice and warm and there were many restaurants in walking distance.

It was close to most things we were doing and the “Common Man “ restaurant was excellent The pub was not our taste we were told we couldn’t sit where we wanted our menus stuck to the table as well as our arms so we decided to leave

It was clean and comfortable, they do have an adjacent Bar and additional restaurants crossing the street, so location is convenient The shower pressure was too high and couldn’t be adjusted, that also made it hard to adjust the water temperature

Very comfortable beds. Nice, warm pool area. Grateful Skier restaurant wasnt open - only the bar area. Wish there was a jacuzzi but the pool was very nice. We couldn't access the WiFi (Danielle did everything she could to help!)
