Tru by Hilton Longview

Came in on Amtrak for the weekend and I took an Uber to this hotel. Staff are very nice! The breakfast setup is pretty cool with a pancake machine and a yogurt dispenser, along with the usual fare; lots to choose from. The room was mostly clean; could’ve been a little better. The mattresses are on wooden bed frames and there was a lot of dust and hair behind the mattress that I didn’t leave there. I only saw it when my phone fell down there and I had to lift the mattress up. Nothing I’m sure a quick call to housekeeping couldn’t fix. The bed itself was very clean with fresh sheets and pillows. Good location so may stay again in the future

The staff was very nice . The room was super clean and this was my 3rd time staying here I love this location !

This location has great rates for family plans. The breakfast was well-stocked and delicious. My room was extremely clean and they did a wonderful job on daily cleans. The staff was kind and very helpful throughout the week. I will return annually.

Located right near a Walmart and lots of food options. Quiet and clean.

Room was clean. But the bed was not comfortable, the hotel seemed to creak from every room and water piles were loud

Tru was clean, breakfast was sufficent, and I like that I can get drinks and snacks in the lobby. I've stayed at this property multiple times.

clean rooms staff ok breakfast hit or miss

The staff was not friendly. It was very hot in the hotel/hallways. Almost as if they didn’t have any AC. It was miserable. That made us skip breakfast. The trash cans were full in the hallways so it smelled really bad after you walked off the elevator. The AC in the room worked, however, it kept going on and off and was never on constantly which is very annoying. The room was clean but had a bad smell. The beds squeaked every time you moved. It rained in the middle of the night which caused the window unit to make a weird loud gargling noise which woke us up for about an hour. This was my first time staying at a Tru. We figured since it was by Hilton it would be nice, but we will never stay at another one again.

Super comfortable bed, nice shower, quiet, excellent breakfast. Bathroom floors around the shower were soiled, but easy to wipe off when I tried. I shouldn't have to clean the floor, right?

The person I checked out with was passive aggressive because I asked for management email/contact information. I wanted to let them know we didn’t get to use the pool.

Very thin walls; nice enough place but you get to enjoy your neighbors a bit too much.

I wanted to share that I really enjoyed my stay. The place was lovely and very clean. I’m from Houston, and if I come back down for the family reunion, this is definitely where I’d love to stay again.
