Very comfortable for 2. Great decor. Staff were super helpful. Very secure building. Noise from the bands in the venue below. We had a room at the back of the property so not too bad.

But what a payoff once you jump through those hoops. Beautifully designed, a definitively cool live music bar downstairs, musicians staying at hotel, great art, clean, and very accommodating staff. Felt like a super hip NYC East Village boutique hotel. Even a recording studio on their backlot . Not a neighborhood for exploring - although we did find a great Oaxacan breakfast place a block away - but definitely a hotel worth staying in if you want a break from corporate hotels in expensive neighborhoods. My writing partner met me here for a working session during the day and it impressed . Buy my favorite part was gold Diggers bar at night

The only thing I didn't love, was how loud the music was on Saturday night. Mainly because I had to get up early. But it did seem a lot louder than it was on Friday night.

I was initially unsure about the location, but the hotel is incredibly well thought out, and my room was one of my favorite rooms I've ever stayed in. The decor is beautiful, and the furniture is sophisticated and perfectly chosen. The floors are gorgeous wood-block. The record player and vinyl selection were the cherry on top. The bar is well stocked and very cool. I thought the noise would be too much, as I was in bed around midnight each night, but the overall soundproofing is great. Parking is very convenient, which is a huge plus for this part of town.

Very nice hotel and plenty of food places near by!

The hotel has great rooms, super clear and comfortable. If you plan to stay here be aware of the live music that plays everyday at the bar under the hotel. It goes late, but using earplugs or noise cancelling headphones drowns out most of the noise.

Unique hotel with the bar and music venue in the same building. Complimentary drink is a nice touch. Surrounding area doesn't feel the safest but no fault of the hotel. Building is secure.

Room was nice, loved the balcony. We knew the hotel was above a bar; however, the very heavy metal band that started at 10:00 made the whole room vibrate! Ear plugs helped.

Rooms are quirky fun. Well designed. Fab bed, pillows, linens. Super fun to be in the list for show downstairs- sold out - and a great event where we discovered a great new band. Love the layout of sitting room, separated from bedroom, plus having vinyl to play. Having to walk up 2 flights of stairs. Simply never expected it - and freshly out of knee surgery. It was brutal. Super sketchy entrance. And the parking is forever away, plus not that secure.

Such a lovely setup hotel room, really unique and music-focused. Really premium and well fit out. However, people should really be aware that you are above a very very loud music venue. It wasn't clear on Hotels.com. I'm not talking a bit of soft music, it's drums and guitars crashing till 2am, bed shaking. With ear plugs and everything, you could SEE the music. Stuff was shaking. I've seen other reviews flag this, and the owners respond saying they make it clear its above a music venue, but who is this hotel for? It's so loud till 2am, i don't fully understand where the idea for putting hotel rooms there came from. It's the loudest hotel room I've stayed in! aha Again though, really well made up. So if you want a nice place, reasonable price, good location close to things, but really really really love very loud music / are deaf / dont intend to sleep till 2am - then this hotel is for you.

Night time check in is rough!

Parking was easy but it was a block away. No parking in front to check in. neighborhood was a little seedy.
