The hotel looked beautiful and very upscale inside. The staff was well dressed, friendly, and always helpful whenever I had questions. I had a great experience during my stay and would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Excellent stay ! Can’t complain. Amazing staff, amazing vibe and great breakfast.

This a great boutique hotel in a great location. Clean and well maintained. Things to keep in mind: shower water temperature is warm mostly and not hot; no coffee machine, fridge or water kettle in the room; there is a mandatory 15 $ fee for each room daily to be used in the vacinty as voucher money.

This is my 2nd time staying here. Would probably be the last time. I spend way too much money to not have AC and my room was charged for drinks instead of using the credit.

The hotel is great, very clean and well maintained. The hotel bar has a good selection of snacks and quick meals and fun drinks plus coffee and matcha. The only thing I wasn’t aware of was that this hotel has parties till 2am every Friday and Saturday and on Thursday we were told to leave the pool at 7pm because they were doing a paid movie screening event in the space for people 21+ so if you’re traveling with teens I’d pick a different place. Also the music during the parties is so loud even 4 floors down it’s impossible to sleep even with the little sound machine (provided by the hotel) blasting at full volume. Like I said the place was great but just be aware the parties are happening :)

This was my first time at the Hollywood Volume and I had a 10/10 experience. The staff was super lovely and helpful. Special thanks to Nick who was very friendly and always gave everyone a warm welcome. They have a wonderful bar with great food where they play afro house music on a Friday and Saturday night - very good DJ! The only side note is that the WiFi was not great and sometimes I couldn't even watch Netflix in the room because of the poor connection. And to the cleaners, overall they did a great job, but my room was often left with more hair after house keeping. It might be because their mob was dirty already? Either way, I appreciated all staff and therefore I would like to give a 5-star rating.

Beware of extra fees in the fine print when booking. It was an additional $34.86 in "resort fees and taxes" on site. The fine print does state that looking back, but I always thought Expedia included all these costs in the booking. Also, only valet is available, no self-parking, and that is $60.50/night. So after booking, it was an additional $95. The location isn't the best. The rooftop bar and pool were closed for a private event during our stay, which was a bummer and much of the reason I booked here. Also, the full lobby had no AC going and was hot and stuffy both days. I did not see any of the water/coffee refreshments out available to guests. No complaints about our actual room. It was clean, cool and modern.

It was a good location to be able to uber to major landmarks and walk on hollywood blvd. the staff were friendly and i enjoyed the roof top bar and restaurant even though they were a bit crowded on the holiday weekend. i enjoyed the grab and go cafe although a few more options would have been great. Nothing crazy fancy but would def stay again if I was in Hollywood.

Staffwise, the security in the lobby at night stood and chatted with us for a bit while we were sitting in the lobby waiting for everyone to clear out of the elevators to go back up to our room (see below). He was nice. Maybe he should work upstairs. Room was dusty (light fixtures rained dust when air kicked on) and couchbed had no pillows/linen, despite having the suite for 3 people. At the lobby bar, at 3pm, we tried to order drinks. 2 of us got margaritas, & the bartender was unnecessarily rude when we asked what kind of drinks they had, & did not offer a menu. A 3rd friend asked what they had at the bar that was non-alcoholic, he pointed to a fridge across the lobby. She then said "what do you have that is mixed?" and he responded "i think you should go over there and look with your eyes." She didn't want a water or soda so she came back to the bar and I asked "do you not do virgin margaritas?" and it seemed to click for him. He apologized and comped her drink but the entire interaction was just uncomfortable. The world cup game was on so maybe he was upset we interrupted. After our event 2 of us went up to the advertised rooftop bar for 1 drink. It was about 12. we ordered (mine far too strong, my friend had a non-alcoholic drink). We found a quiet spot out on the rooftop to sit and talk/wind down. Apparently, they close up at 1. The security guy came, yelled (literally yelled, there was only a couple of us out there) that we needed to leave, & get on the elevators. He then told us we weren't allowed to take our drinks with us (we were staying there?) and refused to let us take the stairs either, even though it was only a single floor. We quickly finished (while walking), everyone was pushed (physically) into the elevator queue lobby like cattle & he slammed the doors behind us. We honestly thought there was a fight or something & he was trying to clear the floor. We ended up stuck on the elevator all the way to the ground floor, where lobby security (nice man, btw) said there was no fight, "that's just how they close up. Almost $600 for the room and treated like this. Ridiculous.

The hotel was close to where we were attending an event, and close to other amenities. Used to be the Tommie Hollywood, rebranded to "Hollywood Volume." This is the 2nd time I have been here, the 1st time (before the rebrand) it was great. We were planning to use this same hotel 1 night a week for a recurring event for the next 6 weeks but have since changed our minds. Front desk people were lovely. So was the door man and valets. The king beds were comfy. Our party had 2 rooms across 2 separate reservations for a total of 5 people - we had a single drink, left for an event, and then two of us went up to the rooftop bar (lovely views, overpoured drinks) after for an event while the other 3 turned in for the night. Staffwise, the security in the lobby at night stood and chatted with us for a bit while we were sitting in the lobby waiting for everyone to clear out of the elevators to go back up to our room (see below).
