Hotel Erwin Venice Beach

A perfect Resort for the family. We will definitely stay here again! The staff were so helpful and accommodating. The food was excellent.

The staff and services are mediocre. The rooftop bar is fun but you have traffic in and out all the time which delays the elevator. The valet service is awful. Also the people in and around this hotel are skanky.

We had a two night stay here. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place for you, because the surrounding area is colorful and vibrant with activity going into the wee hours. This did NOT impact our enjoyment of the hotel, however! Clientele was both young and old, families with young children and couples. Valet and front desk staff were great and I'd like to give a special shout out to the people running the breakfast room at the bar. They were super friendly and went beyond expectations to make sure we had what we needed. It's a two minute walk to the beach. Be aware that parking is quite expensive, but it is to be expected, considering the location.

when I came back to my room later it wasn't working again. The staff tried to say they offered me another room, which they did, but it was after the AC started to work, so why would I repack all of my things while I was late for an event. Overall extremely frustrating experience. I also found a baby COCKROACH on my ceiling. That was just the cherry on top after trying to sleep in 85 degrees for both nights of my stay. Biggest insult is they didn't give me a refund. Honestly, I would have been satisfied with one night comped based on this experience but they only gave me free parking. Pretty insulting and overall disappionted.

It’s not about the money it’s about the principle. I paid quite a bit of money to stay there and to be treated this way and to be ignored is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want roaches showering with you.

For the price i expected our experience to be pleasant it was AWFUL stff was horrible ir was loud all night early morning we hardly slept valet guy was the rudest person i have ever encountered manager was short and rude and not helpful at all

The hotel was well located, and good condition overall. The amenities in the room were fine. The rooftop that we went to with our family was excellent and the food was wonderful and the views of course were fabulous. My only negative was when I checked in the valet watched me get my luggage out of my car struggling and didn’t do anything so just that one staff member was an issue. Otherwise check out and everything with the valet was fine.

The property was exceptionally clean, and everything in the room worked perfectly. The staff truly stood out—they were amazing, helpful, and constantly went above and beyond to answer questions and assist with requests. However, if you are a light sleeper or traveling with children, be aware that loud music from the rooftop travels down and plays until 2:00 AM.

There is a resort fee of $40/day that entitles you to stuff that is mostly standard across all hotels/motels, such as internet, in room coffee etc. You do get additional beach towels and beach chairs (not regular chairs, these are just a backstop to sit on the sand). Not worth the $40/day price tag. Parking is only valet which is outrageous $60/night. There is a parking lot right across but gets filled very quickly. The free breakfast is just muffins, yogurt, juice & coffee with some fruits, not hot items, those needs to be ordered for a fee.

The hotel was in a great location. Great amenities. Great ambiance. Great staff. (Mario was awesome.) Really enjoyed this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

Please book your reservation for rooftop dining in advance. The restaurant and bar book quickly since it is a local favorite. Our bathroom sink began to fill with water from the adjacent room and required maintenance. Staff did their best to accommodate us while maintenance resolved the issue. Staff spoke of comps due to the maintenance however I never saw it. Overall the stay was nice and staff was friendly. The rooms are clean and the breakfast was pricey but delicious. The hotel is located right behind the Venice skate park and muscle beach. Night life is lively and just around the corner from the hotel lobby.
