Great rooms and quiet place.

Easy check-in. Just make sure you go through the process 24 hours before you check-in. No reception, everything is digital including the key which I really like. Parking is in the back of building. It depends on where your room is (it’s my second time staying here) but the front rooms can get really loud at night, e.g. sirens.

Truly an incredible experience, the hotel room is very serene. Picture perfect! and the staff were very attentive. Overall seamless all around, will be booking again!

Passable

It was a unique experience with an amazing ambiance <3 had some of the best sleep I’ve had in years !!!

Great amenities, beds are at ground level so watch out if you have bad knees. The parking is hidden right next to corner signal, it's a little hard to find at first, but other than that everything was pretty straightforward as far as no staff for the check in. There's also a great pizza place down the street, right in the arts district

The communication was amazing !

Very special place in DTLA. Lots of great restaurants and coffee spots nearby and in the hotel itself. Love the staff. I really liked my king room with the rain shower. I am an LA local and would do a staycation here.

Kodo Hotel is a sanctuary in DTLA - while it's near some of the city's most exciting restaurants, galleries, and stores, it feels like a world away from it all. Kodo is currently a self check-in hotel, so guests looking who need an extra level of staff support should look elsewhere. Rather than a traditional hotel, Kodo feels like walking into a beautifully maintained home, straight out of Architectural Digest. The lobby spaces, with ample seating, are an elegant and quiet space to recharge. The rooms - with natural wood, exposed beams, and cool stone - are elegant without being fussy, and exceptionally comfortable, as if staying in an onsen or a retreat. Highly recommended on all fronts.

Great

Hotel concept is beautiful. The rooms are super modern and clean and couldn’t ask for more there. There’s not an actual concierge or hotel guest check-in. It’s all done by your phone, which makes it really difficult to have a great check-in process. I literally had to wait till exactly 4 PM to get a text message that my key was ready to download on my phone, which did not feel like the greatest experience

Nice spacious room. -Noisy, quite noisy! street noise also very noisy room ventilation system, they did offer us another room but it was the same -Open bath + slippery -No closet space although big space -Smelly corridor/entrance -Cafe was closed, no notice (not even on their own platforms) -Poor lighting, dark inside, also not easy to turn on/off -Noisy sliding doors -No widow view in our room
-
Great design. Clean. Spacious.
