Palihotel Westwood Village - West Beverly Hills

Good Location, helpfull staff and clean hotels,

The room was unique and cool, and my garden view had the lovely sound of water coming in all night with the window open. The staff were all very polite, personable and professional. Great location, near many good stores and restaurants. I enjoyed my stay.

The building is lovely. This location was recommended to us and there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The night front desk young man, Dave, was amazing. The room was small, great for one person overnight. We were there a week and with no dresser or a place to sit, it felt disorganized with all our clothing, etc. Not a place to stay for a week and two people.

Conveniently located. Quiet. The free included breakfast was great. Would stay here again.

1. The sink was leaky and it took a lot of extra effort to ensure that water would not drip from the sink. 2. The bed was as uncomfortable as a sofa bed, especially because the “headboard” had zero back support. The pillows were extremely flat so it was downright uncomfortable to sit up in bed. 3. There were no nightstands next to the bed! There was one stool on one side of the bed, but the other side of the bed had zero surface on which to place a phone or eyeglasses. 4. The central area of the hotel serves a relatively mediocre breakfast — packaged pastries and not-so-good coffee from a machine. This space would be much more festive with a daily or weekly 5pm happy hour! 5. There was no desk in our room. 6. While Diptych products are excellent, both the body wash bottle and the conditioner bottle hanging up in the shower were completely empty. I find this pretty unacceptable for $600/night (UCLA move-in weekend). 7. There is no valet parking past 10pm on a Saturday night. We were told that if we returned late, we should park in the “blue zone.” Well, the blue zone was full, so we parked across the street where there was a sign that said "2 hour parking, 8am to 8pm”. The next morning when we went to check on the car, we had a parking ticket as of 8:30am. 8. The walls and ceilings are very thin, so you can hear a lot of neighborly noise at all hours of the day and night.

Beautiful tranquil property, great location No elevator

Room was small but very clean. Staff were kind and pleasant. Area is excellent, walking distance to UCLA, public transportation and great restaurants

Bed was not good

The hotel has some charming decor and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was a big disappointment. A crossiant in a bag, nothing else. There is coffee & tea but the coffee machine broke and they were trying to fix it. The rooms are very small and you will hear everything, it's old. The refrigerator is full of water & juices for sale only, so no room to put anything inside it. Parking is expensive and and is on the street in front of the hotel, not covered even though they call it valet, your just paying to park out front. The courtyard is charming. We usually stay at another hotel on the same street so we're close to UCLA, but they were fully booked so we tried this hotel. It was okay, but very expensive for what you got.

The pictures of the breakfast don’t match with reality. Somedays even the yogurts weren’t served, croissant finished early. However the coffee is worth a mention. You can grab a coffee all day.

This place was nice and the staff was friendly. However, there were just a few irregular issues, possibly because this is an older hotel. The lighting inside was not good. The lighting around the bathroom mirror was not enough. There really weren't any table or desks to put things on in the room. This resulted in any flat surface in the room being cluttered. The TV service was very slow and not intuitive to use. Also, I don't know what was going on, but I've never had to stand in line to wait for a coffee machine in the morning to get coffee. An elevator would have been nice, but this is an old hotel so I get it. Parking is all on the street, but there is a valet who was very helpful. The AC worked well which is a total plus. If you are looking for well-maintained, generally quaint little place in this area, this place works.

Property is beautiful. However lots of noise from room upstairs. And breakfast was just bagels, fruit, and yogurt. Didn’t even have juice.

The vibe, free continental breakfast, nice area in LA Drains smell was quite over powering, rooms were quite small hard to put suitcases anywhere

Adorable property, cute touches all around. But there was a funky smell in the room, like a room freshener spray gone wrong. By the morning it was gone. But still strange.
