When I arrived to my room, it clearly had not been cleaned well or all that recently. There was spilled sugar and accumulated dust all over the coffee station, most surfaces in the room looked like they hadn't been dusted or wiped in weeks, and there were areas on the floors that were clearly missed during the last vacuuming. I rarely complain, but I called the front desk to let them know about the poor cleanliness of the room. They were super nice and apologized, and said they would send someone up to the room with keys for a new room. The new room, now a complimentary upgrade to a suite (again, very nice of the staff to do this), was cleaner than the first room, but I was still unimpressed by the cleanliness. But, I had already changed rooms and decided it was good enough. Then I checked the bed, and I found what I now believe (and hope) was a carpet beetle or carpet beetle larvae in between the sheets, and you can only imagine my panic. I went back and forth sending photos to Claude asking if it was a bed bug, and Claude identified it as a carpet beetle with decent confidence. I checked the mattress and it seemed ok, but of course that's not the only place bedbugs can hide or live. I'm still praying it was a carpet beetle (though it's still obviously a sign of very poor cleaning)...

Staff were great. Hotel was spotless. Excellent. Best hotel in LA. We were even given an upgrade on arrival

Spacious room, really comfy bed, quiet despite being on a busy road. Friendly reception staff and they allowed us to check in early, would recommend! The area the hotel is in isn’t the nicest

Expedia booked a room that was not available at the hotel which was completely sold out. Wasted hours of my time - NOT Happy

If you're staying in LA, you would be remiss if you did not stay here. The staff are professional and helpful at all hours of the day. The rooms are magnificent and clean, and attention to detail was put into every aspect of the hotel, from check-in to check out and every space in between. I cannot speak highly enough about my stay.

Outstanding hotel. Beautiful rooftop restaurant and 2nd floor pool deck. Location in Hollywood convenient to multiple tourist locations. Rooms are are large, bright and comfortable. Staff are wonderful.

The Aster has an antique European feel to it and the decor is lovely. Even though we didn’t eat at the hotel, we went up to the 5th and 6th floors to walk around. The restaurant looked beautiful and the rooftop area was very nice, but the rooftop bar was closed at the time. Parking was easy and the valet workers were nice. The front desk staff and housekeepers were friendly. The only reason I rate it 4 stars rather than 5 is because the carpet in our room needed a deep cleaning.

I've stayed here multiple times. The rooms are large and spacious. Book a room overlooking the pool as its very quiet.

You can't tell from the outside, but this is an impressive private club that also operates as a hotel. Large, beautiful suites that are elegant and fun with a slight touch of retro glamour. Beautiful courtyard, swimming pool, lovely breakfast, café, a large club room area on the fifth floor that has events, a cabaret, private viewing cinema room, and a gorgeous rooftop deck bar and excellent restaurant. Will definitely stay here again. VERY comfortable bed and remarkably quiet. Neighborhood is so so but it is not far from WeHo. Was very convenient for my meetings, which were in a private home up in the Hollywood Hills.

Check in and out was seemless, Our room was ready upon artival, beautiful, big, open, with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. Super quiet with a comfortable bed! Highly recommend and we would gladly book again!
