You can't tell from the outside, but this is an impressive private club that also operates as a hotel. Large, beautiful suites that are elegant and fun with a slight touch of retro glamour. Beautiful courtyard, swimming pool, lovely breakfast, café, a large club room area on the fifth floor that has events, a cabaret, private viewing cinema room, and a gorgeous rooftop deck bar and excellent restaurant. Will definitely stay here again. VERY comfortable bed and remarkably quiet. Neighborhood is so so but it is not far from WeHo. Was very convenient for my meetings, which were in a private home up in the Hollywood Hills.

The location was perfect for attending a show at Pantages which is why I chose it. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The king suite room with pool view/balcony was spacious. The light was out on one of the bathroom fixtures and there was no hand soap put in from previous room cleaning. I also did not have access on my key card to go into the locker changing room after working out which I was told I would. Small things but a little annoyance. The man who helped us with our luggage to the room (I regret not getting his name) was very nice and hospitable and showed us thoroughly around the property where the gym, recording studio, 2 separate dining areas, pool and cinema were located. My son really wanted to use the recording studio $100/3 hours with a sound tech guy isn’t bad, however we kept getting told different times it was available for booking and only had one afternoon/evening free so it unfortunately didn’t work out. The front desk staff in general came off as a bit snobbish to me. I’m not their typical executive business member (it was my 16 year old son and I on a two night getaway to see the phantom mostly) but I splurged on an expensive room nonetheless for a comfy stay and felt looked down upon by them in general like we didn’t belong there. So it was bit uncomfortable walking in and out each time.

Upon arrival, we were asked for our full name three separate times—by the valet, front-door security, and the front desk—this felt excessive and unnecessarily repetitive. The front desk was efficient but not particularly welcoming; there was no effort to engage with us about our stay, plans, or whether we needed anything. While the room itself was large and spotless, the view was unfortunate, looking directly onto a rooftop dominated by a concrete wall, mechanical equipment, and a service stairway. A few basic details were also overlooked. There was no bottle opener in the room, and the bathroom shower featured a partial glass enclosure that allowed water to escape onto the floor after every use. The robes provided were small for anyone with a larger frame, and the bed was one of the least comfortable hotel beds I've experienced—extremely firm and noticeably worn. The biggest issue, however, was noise. Room 414 is directly below the fifth-floor kitchen, and we could hear footsteps, rolling carts, doors opening and closing, and other servicactivity throughout our stay. Nearby laundry facilities added even more noise, and the service stairway outside was active until 3am. Food was fine, but nothing memorable.

Perfect stay! Nice staff and large room! Very good location.

Great hotel, staff super friendly, the rooms are huge and clean. The only downside is the noise coming from outside in the wee hours of the morning - fire trucks, police cars, hot rods, motorcycles. You hear them all - not sure why it happens in this location but it does. The hotel left us ear plugs on the nightstand and I now understand why they do that. But if the noise wasn't an issue, I would be coming back for sure.

It’s in a good location in the middle of Hollywood and has a lovely friendly feel. Nothing. It was great for a short stop over.

The restaurant was not to my liking. The food was below average, as was the service. Room service was over 2 hours late. No water available to drink in lobby, or rooms. A disappointment for sure!

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

It was too noisy having a room off the alley. Otherwise, it is a wonderful hotel with an exceptional staff.

Impressive and spacious. Enjoyed my stay.

This hotel was super clean and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Their pool area was well kept and very nice if you want to have a coffee outside in the morning. We truly loved everything about this hotel (the room, the shower pressure, the service) except for the noise -- we were on the 4th floor and could hear raves happening nearby both nights that we stayed (the noise stopped around 1:30am each night). Not a huge deal for us because we didn't need to get up early, but this could be less than ideal for others.

All that said the service was lacking for the price. On our way in we were offered bell hop service, but I ended up rolling our cart up 45 minutes later because it was still in the lobby and we had to get ready for our night. After dinner we called the front desk for a hypoallergenic pillow, and had to call two more times before it was delivered nearly two hours later.

We were in room 414. Lots of notice late at night on the floor above us.
