James was a fantastic host and our stay was so relaxing. I hope to go back to stay at the DuPont Mansion again!
-
Ck-in was easy, we were showed around and provided info. Probably the best bed We have ever had in a BNB. For those with back issues, that means a lot.James served up a scrumptious breakfast. We were most impressed with him using an AI translator to communicate with an Asian guest that did not speak English. Well done James. He was most hospitable. Unfortunately, our trip was only overnight but we look forward to returning. Thanks to all!

A very beautiful restored mansion. We were told we would won the second floor only to discover we were assigned to the third floor. Considering we arrived late in the day after long flights, I would have preferred to not have to carry our luggage an additional floor. Also, the innkeeper could not locate the light switch for the ceiling fixture in the bathroom.

James took great care of us. The property is an amazing old mansion, beautifully restored and very charming. James made us an amazing breakfast and was able to tell us all about the history of the mansion. I highly recommend staying there, truly a memorable experience.

Reasons why I’m not giving it 5 stars: - lack of initial communication. We had no idea how to check in, room code etc. Turns out they’re still working the bugs out of working with Expedia. - room was great but you can’t control your own temperature. - walls are really thin. You can hear conversations outside of your room. - breakfast was sub par. Innkeeper was fabulous and helpful. She finally got us the text that should have been automated, but was not. That had all the info about checking in. We did find out that the Louisville ghost tour starts with this house. We were not aware. We didn’t have any issues with it, but some might.

Kind of had an idea the breakfast was cooked/hot. It was mostly cold, the potatoes were very watery. The souffle and sausage was good, however, the potatoes were left on the plate. Arrived later than planned, tried calling several times , almost got back in the car to find a hotel. Would have liked to have been able to reach someone by phone. No real person was seen until breakfast.

The mansion has been beautifully restored. The canopy bed was very comfortable. The deep bath with jets and bath balm were a treat after a long day of travels along with the cookies and tea. A delicious homemade breakfast was served in the dining room with fine china, silverware, and crystal. We stayed only one night. On our next trip to Louisville we will stay more. After checkout we walked around Old Louisville’s St. James Court and Belgravia. If you appreciate the craftsmanship of beautiful old homes DuPont Mansion is a winner.

This is a beautiful hotel and historic home. I strongly encourage people to pay a little extra and experience Southern charm and hospitality. We loved the breakfast and the attention to details in every area of our stay. The common areas were delightful … thank you for a wonderful stay!!
-
The room and staff were exceptional. Hotels.com was useless, but I would definitely make a reservation directly with the Duponte Mansion the next time I'm in Lousville.

I usually don’t take the time to leave reviews but this place was a gem. The house has a very cool history, and the breakfast (!) was amazing. Do not skip breakfast! It was delicious and well worth the stay. The staff were so very kind and helpful. Will definitely stay again next time we are in town.

Bed mattress needs an upgrade. It caused quite the backache after the second night.
-
Great experience! Friendly staff & scrumptious food!

The breakfasts were outstanding—every single bite was delicious, and it was obvious that great care goes into every meal. We also loved spending time walking through the Old Louisville neighborhood, admiring the incredible historic homes just steps from the mansion. The staff were exceptional. A special thank you to James, who was tremendously helpful throughout our stay. His recommendations for things to do, places to visit, and local insights made our trip even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a beautiful, historic, and welcoming place to stay in Louisville, we highly recommend Dupont Mansion B&B. We would happily stay here again!
