The Brown is one of our favorite places to stay when downtown Louisville
-
Excellent, helpful, cheerful staff. Hotel and room were beautiful, clean and well kept. Food was fantastic, but the staff made it all the more enjoyable. We will definitely be back soon. The view of Louisville from the 16th floor was spectacular.

Another great evening at the Brown Hotel for my son and I. The helpful & friendly staff really make it a treat to stay here. We had a late dinner in the lobby, and as usual the food was excellent. Our room had a really nice view. The front desk staff always had friendly greetings. The car valet man gave us a short history lesson of the hotel while we were enjoying the 'museum/historical archive' room. We enjoyed drinks in the lobby until fairly late, and spent some time wandering the property to see the vintage architecture and accents. A lovely old world style hotel that never disappoints.

Clean, beautiful hotel with lots of hangout spots for our group as well!

Always an amazing hotel. We got married there 15 years ago and always try to stay here when we are back in town

The staff was amazing! Very attentive and helpful. The dining was top notch. The atmosphere was festive and elegant.

We have wanted to stay here because of the nostalgia. The place is as well maintained as it can be for a building this old. We loved the atmosphere but had some issues. The TV in the room is very small and our air conditioning both nights quit working. They did send maintenance promptly the 2nd day but it quit again that night. The bed was old and needed replaced and the only ice machine working was 6 floors down from our floor. All and all it was a good stay and we were glad to experience some of history.

Old style charm and service with a bit of old world class. Musty smell and a few items in disrepair. Beds were less than comfortable with heavy springs in the box springs.

I really liked this hotel in the heart of Louisville. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent walkable area, really nice bar and restaurant. Recommended!!
-
Room was clean. Staff were helpful and attentive. Bar service was friendly and prompt.

Clean room some updates, friendly staff, breakfast buffet was amazing, very pricey but amazing and worth the try, I felt like Gordon Ramsey was in the kitchen cooking, it was that good! The Hot Brown was good and rich with a creamy sauce! I would stay there again, but the lights keep flickering on and off which may the Hotel more interesting lol, I just saying, and maintenance could not figure out why? Go figure!!

This historic hotel is divine, with spacious, lovely rooms and a very nice lobby bar/restaurant. We loved our time in the hotel. The surrounding area of the hotel is pretty dodgy, which makes it uncomfortable to walk around. It’s a bit off the Main St so, if you are going to walk I’d keep it during daylight hours.

Sl old & Musty smell of Carpet & air conditioner. Breakfast Too expensive .

Went for a six day trip and we loved the charm of the hotel. Bar drinks were great and room was cleaned each day, which was nice.
-
Beautiful, historic hotel. Lovely furnishings, beautiful lobby/bar area. Room was enormous and very comfortable. Bathroom and shower well-sized. Everything was very clean. Service was great! Had to ask for extra towels. Two towels in never enough for a couple.
-
Great experience! Staff was helpful and food/bar was great
-
The only negative for us was that the room could have been cleaner. There were spiderwebs on the window sills and the blinds were dusty. The room could have used some TLC. All in all a very nice stay!
-
The hot brown was delicious.
-
Historic, well appointed, location, shuttle service First day boiler was out and entire hotel was freezing.
-
Hotel location was great. Parking was a small walk so we did valet at $36ish per day and worked out great.
