Superb

The lobby, bar and dining room were amazingly beautiful. The staff was friendly and there was a pleasant atmosphere in the lobby. Although the rooms were modernized, the television was very small, and the overall ambiance was a bit outdated.

The Brown Hotel used to be Louisville's premier hotel. Now it's just old and dated. It still has glimpses of that old charm. The J. Graham's Cafe was good. The parking is steep at $35/night. Really? It's Louisville., not Chicago, Philly or New York.

It was perfect. I had my first hot brown on Saturday. It was delicious, plenty of food even with the mini. Fresh and yummy. The bar at night was lovely, bartender was quick, friendly and a great service. There was also live piano music.

It has been a few years since we visited The Brown Hotel. Upon arrival, we found the valet staff very unwelcoming. The receptionist was also rude and unfriendly. Our room overall was dated and very worn. Carpets ripped, bathroom wallpaper coming off, crumbs on the floor, and hair was in the bedding. Will not stay there again. For the cost we were expecting a premium property. It was a major disappointment. Do not recommend.

Loved the unique architecture and decor and how close it was to the Brown Theater

We also weren’t impressed with our check-in experience. We had never stayed here before and didn’t understand how the parking worked, so we asked the person at the front desk who checked us in. She wasn’t helpful at all and basically left us to figure it out ourselves. A quick explanation would have made a huge difference. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, but for the price, I expected a more comfortable bed and a more helpful experience at check-in.

Other than that, very pleasant and quiet stay. I especially loved that we were required to use the key entry pad, in the elevator, to access our floor very VIP.

Really beautiful hotel, enjoyed our stay.

Love the older atmosphere. Everything was clean. Slept great. Just remember the higher floors, the water pressure isn’t great.
-
The food and the view No modern amenities. I would have liked a fridge.
-
This hotel is beautiful. I first walked in the lobby and my mouth dropped open. The room was beautiful. The staff so cordial. I would definitely stay again. (Although, I kept asking myself if I was worthy. lol) Not a thing
