Overall pleased. Cleaners set door in room broken off track & no ice bucket or utensils in kitchenette

Rachel at the desk was most helpful since we did not know our way around the city. Pool was out of service. Breakfast was a disappointment. "Out of eggs"????

The bad: The pool was closed, which wasn’t communicated at all prior. The first day we showed up and checked in online, so we just picked up our keys and the attendant adjusted the reservation due to the way it booked on hotels.xom, it needed adjusted. We went to go to the pool and found out it was shut down by the city. I mentioned it at the front desk and the attendant who just checked me in told me it was closed and they were waiting for the city and tried to tell me he told me when we checked in, which he didn’t. He mentioned the city was supposed to come back any day to reinsoect and open. The next day after some sight seeing, I asked at the front desk if there was an update on the pool since my kids were looking forward to the pool. The attendant, this time a different person who was extremely rude (there’s multiple referencing this woman) told me “well there’s a sign right there that says what you need to know”. I tried to defuse the snark by mentioning the previous person said the city was supposed to be there any day and I was just following up, to which she replied “well this sign says it’s closed going forward so I guess that tells you what you need to know”. The elevator broke the last day, and breakfast was borderline mediocre most days.

Room was very dated and not well maintained or cleaned- door handle to enter the room jammed a lot and only worked half of the time, toilet made a terribly loud noise when flushing and the AC sounded like a plane taking off when starting up and ran almost constantly and the air was very humid. One of the beds sheets smelled soiled, got new sheets from the front desk and only stayed in the same room since other parties were already in other bed sleeping. The person who slept on the pull out couch had bug bites around their ankle in the morning and all of us were coughing and sneezing for several days after we left. The free breakfast area was not well maintained nor visibly clean. Staff was reasonably helpful but I wouldn't recommend this place unless you just desperately need a spot to crash at for the night. Thankfully we only needed a room for one night.

The staff is very pleasant and friendly. The suite is comfortable, quiet and clean. The overall appearance of the property is warm and inviting. The exterior landscaping has improved. I believe this is a nice place to stay.

It was great the pool was closed but they gave us vouchers to go next door to swim it was amazing..

Very large and spacious room, with big, clean bed and space for bags but felt a little outdated. Was a quick booking after my initial hotel had to cancel my booking due to an IT issue and travelling for nearly 9hrs and this did the job. Check-in (and out) was both fast and easy

My stay at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Louisville East was overall okay. The beds and the bathroom were clean, and the suite was spacious, all for a total of close to $120. However, the dark burgundy carpets hide dirt and small items that a curious puppy could chew. The pet fee I found pricey for one night — $75 per pet — when my stay on Expedia was advertised at $100/night. That’s almost the same price as for a puppy in his cage. The continental breakfast ran out; I don’t think they plan servings according to the number of guests registered at the hotel. The staff were courteous, and the surroundings for walking the dogs were exceptionally attractive.

Pluses: location is very handy, since it's next to the mall, near lots of restaurants, just off the Watterson highway, near a Trader Joe's, etc. Quiet. Some nice staff (especially the guy who checked us in with big curly hair). Breakfast is pretty decent, with rotating options. The pool area is really nice, even just to read or chill out. Lobby is nice with some amenities like books to borrow, snacks and drinks, etc. Room was cozy and clean. These pluses far outweigh the issue noted below, and I'd happily go again. Minus: There's clearly a communication issue between the front desk staff and the cleaning staff. I was told they'd default to cleaning the room once every three days, but we should ask (and could ask earlier) to get it done. When I did, the woman at the front desk made a comment about how she didn't know if they'd do it, and didn't know how they worked, and she had no communication with them. She very much made it sound like she had no idea. She sounded frustrated, not rude, to be clear, but still, if she can't make it happen, who can? The next morning, the guy at the desk now also didn't seem confident it'd happen. It did, and they cleaned well ... but the hotel management could clearly do a better job of opening lines of communication between front desk and cleaning.

This hotel was by far the best yet I’ve stayed in while having to make various trips to Nortons! Breakfast was wonderful, an actual chef making omelets was so unexpected and exciting to see! Top notch! Highly recommend!

There was only sugar and no other sweeteners for the free coffee in the lobby. The manager said he would order some and that he did not have access to petty cash to just go out and buy some. The pool was closed by the health department. The bathroom by the pool and gym was out of order, as was one of the urinals in the other public restroom.

Our room wasn’t cleaned until the fifth day of stay,I ASKED TWICE FOR IT TO BE DONE, I kept getting the same excuse that they had late checkouts outs and had a big group of basketball players, It shouldn’t be the norm to put out your own trash and dirty towels and go get your own fresh towels.I ask what are you paying for if you aren’t getting these benefits,it’s suppose to be a vacation.

The sweet are so nice. The living room part is big and has enough room for a big family. It has nice microwave and refrigerator and they also supply plates for spoons glasses knives the only thing missing was a stove. It also has a coffee pot. The beds are very, very comfortable in the rooms were exceptionally clean. We will definitely stay there when we visit Louisville every time plus they have a buffet breakfast and they even have pancakes and a little waffle maker you make fresh waffles, eggs, toast, bagels hashbrowns, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, coffee, and they have plenty of tables for you to sit at and enjoy your breakfast or you can take it back to your room. I definitely give this place five stars.

My wife and I spent an evening and the room was in need of an update. The sink in the bathroom was dripping water. The kitchen sink was leaking water and the bed was over used. And there was a lot of noise from air conditioners or people flushing the toilet taking showers. I would give it a two two and a half stars out of five.

Quick check in/out, very spacious rooms, clean, plenty of amenities, in a nice area, would recommend to anyone.

Room was clean, breakfast was terrible. Few choices. Powered eggs, poor bagels. Coffee good.
