Great pool area! Friendly Staff!
-
Great quality. Very clean hotel.

The reception staff gave me a warm welcome and were very helpful. Overall, I got a great night's sleep and was very happy with my choice. I was traveling with a car packed full of luggage which was safe to leave overnight due to the location being so close to campus which was safe and patrolled. I can highly recommend a stay here.

Our room was not clean. I understand the building is older but our room had hair on the shower wall, the bathroom floor was dirty, bugs in the room and the air conditioner did not work properly. Possibly the worst hotel experience we have ever had.

Wouldn’t change anything about my stay.
-
Good for a quick stay or visit to Texas Tech. Right across the street from the campus

Have stayed here a number of times in the past, but will have to re-think after this last stay. The property is in a great location, but is showing its age. Thermostat was not working properly in our bedroom unit (heat coming on in the night during Lubbock summer?), closet doors did not stay closed, and bedside plugs that did not work were just a few annoyances. The breakfast bar was also pretty poor by all accounts.

Best place to stay when visiting Lubbock
-
Motel 6 bathrooms looked better than this hotel. Outdated hotel, rust calcium tiles falling off in bathroom. They go in your room and turn up temperature on thermostat don’t leave clean towels don’t make beds (stayed multiple nights) would not recommend

Bathroom bathtub not clean
-
The bathtub was horribly stained and looked nasty . The mattress for the pull out sofa had a very large stain on it and it was jaut questionable to be honest
-
Great location just needed attention to clearing of elevators and luggage trolley.

We had to use two remote controls to turn on the TV, control the volume, and the channels which was very inconvenient and dated. The pool looked filthy, so we did not use it. The best experience for us was the breakfast. They do a great job with that! The food was good and fresh every morning. The location is convenient too but not a relaxing place to walk around outdoors. We expected a lot better, so it’s is highly overpriced to what you get. We have stayed at a Staybridge Suites before and we loved it, but this particular location was very disappointing. The staff is very nice, welcoming, and are prompt with service. We appreciated them!

Cleanliness and property condition could use a little work. Bathroom floor could have been vaccumed better and there was a sock that wasn't ours under the couch. Had some issues with the air conditioning where it would blow cold air, then blow hot air-back and forth. May have been a settings issue but another guest said they experienced the same thing. Good amentities and close to the university. Front Desk staff were very hospitable helpful, and friendly. Overll a good experience.

Our room still had someone else’s trash left in the refrigerator. Room wasn’t filthy, but it wasn’t really clean either. The shower tiles were missing grout, and the whole facility looked like maintenance has been lacking for several years.

Good place to stay. Nice staff.
-
So close to Texas Tech! Enjoyed the large rooms.

Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Room needed to be vacuumed. Comforter had a footprint on it when I folded it down. There was a large dead bug under the vanity. In the kitchenette area the wall needed to be wiped down. Floors in the bathroom area were cracked and chipping. If noise bothers you, you can hear everything that goes on outside as though the windows are wide open. Seems like cars start racing down the streets after midnight. Room could use some updating.

The management needs a bit of help. And they need to invest in some upgrades. Rooms were shabby. Furniture was totally dusty. Tile was cracked and the bathrooms . The staff doesn't clean. There was a note on the refrigerator indicating planned upgrades like new mattresses. But basic cleanliness would really go a long way until then. And it wasn't cheap for a place that was so dirty. The nice staff somewhat made up for it. They were very friendly to us and helped us get the room we needed
