Staybridge Suites Lubbock - University Area by IHG

The room that they gave us was unacceptable. The Air conditioner never stopped its loud rattling. The TV was place in the middle of the room. No one could watch it in that position. The bed was too soft and like a double. Couldn't successfully watch TV from the Bed or the Couch. The Light over the kitchenette was burned out. The traffic was constantly loud. We lasted about 2 hours. Had a room booked for 2 nights. The Desk Clerk gave the standard answer...if you had said something we could have given you another room. And promised to refund the next night because we checked out. They didn't refund.

Overbooked. Didn’t offer to give refund or anything for the difference also the hotel Charged me an extra 20$

Great value for the price. Room was very spacious & having the kitchenette area was great! Staff was extremely friendly & helpful. Morning breakfast was good. The room itself was clean however the bathroom definitely needs some work - as the tub was peeling really bad & the mat placed in the tub would not stick and made it very slippery.

The property is in a great location - right next to Texas Tech, not far from restaurants and shopping. It would be nice if technology inputs were updated - however, that would be my only complaint. (Don't for get your plug, there are no USB connections within the room).

Ac would not stay on but other than that it was nice

Pool was closed. Internet was poor. Tv was difficult to operate. No Netflix.

The reception staff gave me a warm welcome and were very helpful. Overall, I got a great night's sleep and was very happy with my choice. I was traveling with a car packed full of luggage which was safe to leave overnight due to the location being so close to campus which was safe and patrolled. I can highly recommend a stay here.

Our room was not clean. I understand the building is older but our room had hair on the shower wall, the bathroom floor was dirty, bugs in the room and the air conditioner did not work properly. Possibly the worst hotel experience we have ever had.

Wouldn’t change anything about my stay.

Good for a quick stay or visit to Texas Tech. Right across the street from the campus

Have stayed here a number of times in the past, but will have to re-think after this last stay. The property is in a great location, but is showing its age. Thermostat was not working properly in our bedroom unit (heat coming on in the night during Lubbock summer?), closet doors did not stay closed, and bedside plugs that did not work were just a few annoyances. The breakfast bar was also pretty poor by all accounts.

Best place to stay when visiting Lubbock

Motel 6 bathrooms looked better than this hotel. Outdated hotel, rust calcium tiles falling off in bathroom. They go in your room and turn up temperature on thermostat don’t leave clean towels don’t make beds (stayed multiple nights) would not recommend

Bed looks like sheets not changed Bathroom bathtub not clean

The bathtub was horribly stained and looked nasty . The mattress for the pull out sofa had a very large stain on it and it was jaut questionable to be honest
