Property well maintained, the beds were comfortable, and a nice selection for breakfast. The noise level was quite low even with quite a few families staying there.

Well-run hotel that stays quite busy but looks good regardless. Rooms, pool area, breakfast, and outside spaces were clean despite a lot of tourists and busy evening.

Location was convenient; cleaning staff was very helpful and friendly; room was clean and the size was nice; free breakfast was standard; bed was comfortable. No outside windows on the 3rd floor (including in our room) getting natural light or looking outside. It was like a cave 24 hours/day. If we would have been made aware of this prior to booking or during check-in, we would have requested a different room or stayed elsewhere. Also, being on the 3rd floor it took almost 5 minutes to get the bathroom water to run hot every day.

Everything was great. The only negative is the bike and one of the treadmills were not working. All other amenities were great along with the cleanliness.

Large room with direct view of the lake and Mackinac bridge and lovely outdoor sitting area. The bathroom could use an update especially the shower.

Clean, well maintained and comfortable room. Breakfast was ok, not much for choices.

Breakfast was good. Room was good. Bed was good. Breakfast was unsupervised by staff. Children were left alone to grab things and most important - they were allowed to operate the waffle machine. Just for liability reasons that equipment should be handled only by staff. It's way too dangerous!

We were able to bring our dog.There is a fenced area for dogs and nice area to walk him.

The room was clean and updated. My only issue was that hotels.com stated we would get a balcony room with a pool view, however that doesn't even exist at this hotel. There are no balconies that I saw and the pool is indoors with no rooms having much view of the pool.

I go to Ludington every year for a long weekend, it’s tough these days to find a place I can bring my dog, Lakewinds was dog friendly and affordable. The continental breakfast was great they have Belgian waffles, yogurt parfaits, eggs, sausage, fruit and a bunch of drinks. The pool and hot tub were nice, staff was very friendly, everything in the hotel room worked, it was clean and the cleanings during the day were thorough and new towels were left every time, the bed was very comfortable and about three different blankets to choose from. There is a small fenced in 30’x15’ “dog park” for the dog to be off leash a little, a play ground outside and lots of parking. For the price and the amenities we had a great time and were very pleased with our stay. Will definitely come back!
