Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront Mackinaw City

Location, location, location. Walking distance to ferry and town great. Fireworks just off our balcony was awesome. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was just okay. A lot of people to feed in a 2 hour window. Very Long lines. I was not sure everyone in line was staying at the hotel.

The rooms were clean. The balcony was nice although the screen we could not leave the door open and have the screen because it was broken. The hot tub was very nice. Breakfast was OK but overall a very nice experience.

Clean & friendly staff. Beach isn’t worth the extra for lakeside, but overall a good experience.

Great location for shopping, restaurants and right on the beach was amazing.

The issue we had was a Thursday check-in and a Monday check-out... Four sleeps and not ONE single time did housekeeping enter our room.. not ONCE! And they were in the halls by the multitudes daily, all day, doing rooms. We had to cop our own coffee packets and cups off the carts along the hall daily, at like 6:00 pm, when it became clear, after being gone here and there throughout each day, we were on our own. There were garbage bag rolls in bottom of common room bin, we had to find and use these to take our own garbage out to the hall every single day. And if you're reading positive reviews about breakfast be warned, it is the exact same thing every day and the coffee in that space is cold and terrible. We paid $350 a night, sure it was the holiday weekend, so to be expected, but absolutely ZERO room service across the span of four nights was definitely unexpected for that price.. our complaint to front desk upon leaving fell on the deafest of ears with no offer of additional means to elevate our concerns higher up the chain. I will continue my search online for a means to complain to ownership, which is well known in the State for having some fairly charlatan business ethics.

And dirty carpets, pool is maxed out on chlorine, not enough parking and they even turned off the coffee machine was turned off. So, avoid at all costs.

The hotel was great but we stayed on the 3rd floor in room 315 and the whole hall way smelled of Marijuana. I know there is no smoking in the building so I’m not sure why that smell would not be recognized. It really made the stay unpleasant because there is nothing worse than having to smell that the whole stay at the hotel.

Great location! Walking distance from everything. Pool and hot tub were maintained well. Beach right out the back. Rooms are a little out of date, but the amenities and location more than made up for it!

Old hotel, great location. But beds are terrible and need udpated, rooms are pretty outdated and the pool / hot tub are in need of better maintenance. But again, great location for ferries and Mackinac city / island access.

Great value for the money, nice location as well. Very promptly staff.

Nice and convenient

The property is in terrible condition. Bathroom door wouldn’t close. Sink wouldn’t shut off. When you walked in the room the whole place reeked of weed smell. Honestly this hotel is falling down around their ears. Staff was super friendly and tried to be helpful but this place is horrible. I don’t see how it can get even close to the star rating it has. I would never stay there again.
