Best Western Marina State Beach

Dirty rooms. Staff ignored requests to refill amenities

Needs upgrade especially the towels & beds/sheets

Clean, safe near the beach and freeway. Biggest negatives are tiny restroom but good size shower and no soap! Food was a 2 stars but it was free.

Customer Service is good. Friendly staff

Bug in my bed. Stuff kept falling off the walls not properly secured.

Shower did have any shampoo. Fire detector was not installed and was left on the counter when I arrived.

Lights didn’t work well. Floor was sandy. Other areas didn’t look like they were properly cleaned.

Remodeled so it was clean and updated. The EV charger stopped working randomly which was a disappointment and kept on waking me up. The breakfast was bad and they ran out of food.

The room was huge and clean. Staff was so kind and breakfast was excellent. I am fully satisfied.

The rooms are full of mold and completely unacceptable for anybody to live in for even the shortest amount of time.

The reception area, lobby and breakfast areas are also very nice and recently updated. The outside of the property is in rough shape. Hopefully that wil be the next phase. Being so close to the beach and the ocean air, the paint on the buildings has taken a beating. A fresh coat of paint and new patio furniture would go a very long way towards fantastic improvements. This is a great location very near CSUMB and the beach. Only about a 20 drive to Cannery Row. Also close to restaurants, movie theaters and a shopping center.

The room were really clean and the staff was very helpful. Marina state beach is at walking distance.

Location was nice, but it wasn’t cleaned very well.

Bathroom was not clean. Tub stains and mold on the ceilings. No hand soap to wash hands. Arrived late evening and left early morning. Staff was nice but bathroom was not updated or clean.

Everything was great during our stay very clean friendly staff a bit over crowded for breakfast but great overall

Really nice and helpfull

We checked in close to midnight so there is absolutely no reason why our room was dirty. There was blonde strands of hair on our towels, trash scraps under our beds and on the floor in the walkway. The room itself looked like they fixed a hole in the ceiling but couldn’t match the paint, barely screwed in the toilet paper roll holder as it was falling off the wall, and the primary light switch did not turn on the light it was connected to. The staff was friendly and helpful to getting us checked in and staffing the breakfast bar but that doesn’t change the hotel rating.

Nice, helpful staff. 7 minute walk to the beach. Great location! Pretty run down. It looked like they were doing some sort of renovations while were there. We had to go buy Clorox wipes to clean up the rooms. They weren’t the cleanest. Clean sheets, shower, and countertops. Otherwise, don’t look too close. The rooms could definitely use a deep clean. There was a microwave and fridge in the rooms, which was a nice surprise.

Front desk employee was great. His name was Ram.
