Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Monterey Beachfront-Marina, CA

If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. The location of this hotel is great as it is right by the beach. This was the ONLY good thing about it. When my family and I arrived, our room was not clean, in fact it looked like someone had stayed in there before us with no clean up as the bedding was stained and dirty. The microwave smelled of rotten food. The sink to the room was disgusting and the plumbing was on full display. The restroom was so gross, we did not shower in it. Thankfully I had some Clorox wipes to clean the toilet seat. The curtain rod to the shower was rusted and the door to the restroom got stuck every time we closed it. The front door was not sealed properly as we needed to close the door often to lock it. Everything about this property is terrible. My family and I will definitely NOT be coming here again. I deserve a full refund!! Go figure, this is not letting me upload my photos!

This property is disgusting. Do not stay here. The bathroom is moldy. Roaches in tub, roach trap under sink, bathroom door has holes, is someone watching? The walls are so dirty. I don’t think sheets are changed! The door looked like it had been broken into and didn’t properly close. The picture they use are not theirs. I literally went to Walmart to buy sheet and blanket to sleep. Then ended my stay and went somewhere else!

It’s not worth it

It smelled, the tv did not work. My front door did not lock!! And it was really expensive because of race week in Monterey. I would say avoid !!

Everything is old, the rooms are not clean, there are strangers’ hair on the bed. This hotel needs renovation. The only good thing is that the staff at this hotel are very friendly.

Everything was dirty. The towels, the sheets, one of the pillows didn’t have a pillowcase. It felt run down. We went out to the jacuzzi and it was locked up and they said it was out of order, but there were no signs. The breakfast was out of things by 8. Overall don’t stay there.

Exceptional

Raddison and Expedia should not promote this property as a viable option for accommodations in the Marina/Monterey area. The property had numerous fire code violations and other hazards. I refused to stay once I walked into the room. Wires were hanging from the smoke detector. The room was dilapidated. I took pictures of mops hanging against the railing, buckets of paint, trash overflowing, Etc. Terrible!!!! Code enforcement should be notified.

This place needs to be shut down, filthy exterior, in great disrepair, room had 1 towel, no garbage can and no remote. Grounds and condition of building is unacceptable at any cost much less the amount that was paid.

Poor

The room was disgusting. Dirty, bathroom toilet was broken and the bathroom was filled with mold and holes in the wall. The window shades did not work and people walked by our room all night long. The bedding was dirty and the floors were also. Horrible place

Exterior grounds and interior of room were in disrepair and not clean. TV remote did not work, lamp did not work, bed was short-sheeted. repeated requests to fix were ignored

The exterior building(s) also look rough. The grounds are not kept clean Positives are the breakfast room and breakfast starting at 6:00 am. The room blinds are full ‘block-out’ which is nice. The TV and channel selections were good and parking is ample and close to rooms outside of the courtyard. Front staff person (woman) was there for my check-in and check-out. She adds little value to her role. Not worth the $300+ per night.

After reading the reviews I was very concerned about staying at this hotel. We stayed for two nights and actually had a decent stay. The room was 7/10 clean. The room was well stocked on towels soaps. Nothing was broken and no bugs. There is definitely room for improvement and if you go hunting for imperfections or small stains you will find them.

The only good thing was the location It was dirty Our room had one trash can Sheets were stained Soap dispensers empty Fridge didn’t work We didn’t even attempt the breakfast-got the “ick” from the level of cleanliness.

Loved the location of the property. The rooms could have been a bit cleaner. Breakfast was a 1/5 rate not many options and lower quality since my last visit.

The location for sure is beautiful How dirty it was! I’ve stayed here before but this time around wasn’t anything like the first time I’ve stayed here

I went to pull back the comforter and there were hairs in the bed. They did absolutely nothing to fix it and when I said something to the front desk they told me they would give me a discount the next time I stayed. Umm nope I’ll never stay there again.
