Courtyard by Marriott Marina del Rey

Check-in and customer service should be improved. The front desk took well over 20 minutes to pick up the phone. No early check-in, not even within the hour. I booked an ADA room with a king bed and sofabed for two people, but Danielle gave us a regular non-ADA room. The manager was nice enough to upgrade us to a top-level king room, but it still was not ADA. Great location, good onsite restaurant (Brizo) with a fantastic marina view. Good options for yacht rentals. Rates don't include the $20 destination fee or onsite parking fee.

They charge a facility fee of 20/day and parking is 55/day. For the 20 you get to buy 20 of food or drink. They also give out cocktail coupons. We got 2 sprites -no alcohol in them - and they charged 15/each. For SOFA out of the bar gun! I find all their fees excessive. Felt nickeled and dimed at every turn. It took forever at check out because they charge all purchases to your room. Then upon check out remove each and every charge that adds up to the 20 per day. Seems they could use an upgrade to their system to make it guest friendly! Took the dude over 20 mins to finish removing the charges. Waste of my time.

Well-located hotel; the restaurant/bar has a very popular outdoor space - I met a number of local residents who said they came there. I always had good service there. The room was comfortable, though our in-room refrigerator wasn’t working. The desk staff was always polite and helpful.

Lo ed the food at the restaurant

Dirty room, diry sheets, ants all over the room, dirty balcony, ants coming out of shower hole, shower is old, room had an odor, beds were uncomfortable, sheets smelled old, and when we called after 10 min of being in the room, they said they have no other rooms except 1 on the first floor with no view and no balcony. It was one night we arrived at 12am leaving at 7am so we just slept through it since nothing would have been resolved in time.

- The worst is the mandatory, undeclared resort fee. For real? I did not go to Vegas. A 140$ “value” for 20$ a day. Stop trying to fool your customers. Staff doesn’t even know how this works, vouchers are worthless. - no breakfast in the restaurant but just packaged stuff and not so great coffee. Do yourself a favour and go to Cafe Cache 5 min walk away instead. - there’s a very noisy ventilation system on the east side of the building, if you are sensitive avoid

Clean room Good breakfast Holiday weekend valet parking was hectic Those voucher doesn't make sense. Receptionist in the patio dressed very casual. We were sitting at the outside patio bar and started smelling Marijuana. I asked the bartender about that. He said that they are smoking marijuana outside Marriott property. . So we won't come back to that hotel. Sounds like it's a normal thing to smell Marijuana in the outside patio???

Great location It’s been a few years, but I thought Marriott s included tea and at least some lotion in the rooms. The amenities were quite thin for the price.

I loved the location, the staff, the beautiful lobby and especially the restaurant staff at Brizo. Beautiful view of the marina. My husband enjoyed the balcony, so I'm happy to have reserved it. Check-in and out were easy. The air conditioning worked and was easily adjustable. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. I had wished for a better hotel room view of the marina, but got a side view. Should be a better way to request a view. A small hiccup happened after breakfast. Our room key did not work at 11:30 am. The issue was that Booking.com had confirmed with me a 12 noon checkout, but your hotel had a general 11 am checkout. Very small issue, and it was resolved.

Clean and modern room. Great area to walk around, close to the beach, close to restaurants and bars, and very safe feeling during the day. Great hotel in a great location in a great area for families.

No air conditioning in our room which made sleeping impossible. Had this been made known to me prior to our reservation I would have gone to another hotel.

Great location walakble to Venice beach and area. Very safe and quiet area as well. Property is top shelf, clean, quiet with great restaurant/bar. Locals love this place too.
