Foghorn Harbor Inn

Getting to the beach was easy but getting back to the room was not so easy but for the amount of money I spent I feel it’s a good deal. I would probably stay there again having the beach so close was very convenient.

Great location and view. Courteous staff, free parking, room was reasonably clean. But, outside of the lobby it was run down and poorly maintained. The bathroom had paint splattered in some areas and spots where paint had flaked off. Toilet paper holder showed gap in drywall. Funky, poorly painted crown molding on the walls, etc. This place has huge potential but the rooms need a major upgrade.

The best thing about this stay is the location and view in a marina side room. The pillows are terrible, the room is extremely worn, carpet buckling and bathroom door was falling apart. The rooms are in need of some serious TLC. The farmers market on Saturday morning in the parking lot next door was great, but that has nothing to do with the hotel or staff.

The room smelled like poo. But otherwise a great location and nice place.

The location is excellent and the view of the harbor is excellent. For the price all was a good experience. It is an older property that did allow us parking and an easy in and out.

First off, the staff was less than accomodating and made us feel that they were being "put out" with a simple request for more soap, which was the size of a "ritz" cracker, toilet tissue, ice or clean bath towels. The ice maker was noted as "inoperable for the season". No housekeping service was provided for our five day stay and we were not told that upon check-in. Any requested late check out was at $50 per hour and there would have been a $1.00 per bag hold if we went to the beach after checking out of our room. The room was shabbly with broken desk missing a middle drawer, dated carpet and bathroom walls were unpainted in spots and the tub drained slowly.

Run down place. Carpet that makes your feet black. Loud people right outside the back door with blaring giant speaker all day long until 8:30pm. Horrible staff for checkin(uncaring and unhelpful guy), but the rest of the staff was nice and caring. Low water pressure. Sticky bathroom floor. This is definitely a budget hotel and I would spend a little more next time to stay down the road a bit. Also, the store next door is shuttered. Funny, when we were checking in, I said I’m going to check the store next door for some toiletries until check in time at 4pm, but the front desk guy didn’t even bother to tell me the store is not operational. He knew I was going there and could have said something, but again he doesn’t care and should not be in a customer service roll, or any roll dealing with people. There weee 4 families waiting to check in as he read his phone and would not let anyone check in until 4pm sharp, even though some folks has a sick baby. However, there is free parking and coffee…

Great staff. Great Location. New remodel looks, good. Older building so the usual issues with that. She is my go-to for quarterly trips to the Marina. Just site on the balcony and enjoy (week-day traveler so cannot comment on weekends).
