Nothing at All ​Complaint 2: Star Inn ​Location: 4531 Slauson Ave, Maywood, CA 90270 ​Dates of Stay: May 27, 2026 – June 10, 2026 ​Complaint Description: At check-in, I requested no maid service for the duration of my stay. During my stay, management and unauthorized personnel entered the room without consent, citing technical issues regarding television setup. Management subsequently made inappropriate comments regarding the arrangement of my personal luggage inside the room. On a separate instance, the room was entered during a 20-minute window while I was temporarily away. The management failed to uphold standard privacy policies and provided inconsistent explanations regarding staff entry. ​Desired Outcome: Full refund for the stay ($[Insert Amount]) and formal management review regarding guest privacy protocols.

Stinky room, Ac leaked all over the floor making it wet, fridge smelled like ass, microwave? Didn’t even try to use it. There were roaches on my clothes when I came out the shower. All that was in the bathroom was a soap bar and an ultra mini packet of shampoo.

Super clean and friendly staff

Even after contacting Expedia today, only one person reached out to me and said they would call me again tomorrow. However, I still have not received my money. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I expected much better communication and customer service.

No good my room didn't have a fridge and my food went bad and the bed it was too old.

The property was fine. It’s a no thrill motel. The room was updated as pictured. Better than most motel 6. However there was no shower gel or shampoo. Only a small little bar soap. And the bed sheets had a funny smell and there were some body hair on the sheets. Never seen that in a motel/hotel before.

There was hair all over the sink and in the shower. The towels were dirty so just bring your own. Other than that it was a cool hotel. Depending when you go the parking could be full. I had to park outside near the store it was a short walk but it was a little annoying

I liked the location The location of the hotel was ok, The people attending ok, but the cleanness of the rooms very bad we found the floors very dirty with hair and dust everywhere, the sheets stained with what looked like blood, the rooms smelled bad and very noisy at night.

Bathroom: it was not clean at all! There were hair on the sink, shower and sink were clogged. The “mirror” is aluminum!! Reflection is distorted. A Barn door separates the room from the bathroom. No privacy at all. Súper extra thin - see- through towels. Room: Either you have a full blast of light or walk in the dark. No lamps in the room. No mirror as well. Extra thin walls. You can hear everything that is happening in other rooms. TV remote control is provided to guests upon request. If you forget to return it the deposit will not be reimbursed. You are forced by “ the lady in the shadows”, to leave a review from your staying before you abandon the hotel. She also suggests to book directly with them and not through Expedia. The neighborhood is shady. Pros: a couple of fast food restaurants within walking distance. Never stay here again!
