Clarion Inn near McAllen Airport

It was a basic room, clean and nice.

Even though it was an older hotel, it was still nice and clean.

Breakfast was very nice Doors are in the inside instead of the outside

1. On arrival, the thermostat was set to 69. As a result, there was condensation in the room that made the floor wet and slippery. Keep it above 70. 2. The bed is cheap and uncomfortable. 3. The "free" breakfast was nothing but carbs. 4. There was a mysterious, black spot in the tub. It wiped away easily enough but made me reluctant to use the shower. 5. Dark, mold-like stains under the sink. 6. The hall door for our room was loud to close. 7. No cable and the TV antenna allowed very few choices. 8. No ice bucket or machine. 9. No mini-fridge or microwave. 10. The lamps/lights in the room worked sporadically, if at all. 11. A sign in the bathroom said maid service would only happen on request, which was fine as I don't like people letting themselves into where I sleep. I was surprised to come back from an errand to find multiple women cleaning my room. If that is a risk, a Do Not Disturb sign should be provided. For $65/night, I don't expect much but I do expect better than this. I won't be back.

The only thing I liked about all of this was that the room didn't have a carpet floor. That's the only thing I like. First things first, the hallway was so dusty and humid you’d risk a sore throat if you breathed through it. No air, just humid with the stairs door open. Sadly, it poured out for a moment the morning after, but apparently, that was enough for the entire power to go off! The other hotels were fine, just us. Not long after, AC started leaking underneath, and i could hear the heavy rain running in the vents. The bathroom had one roll of tp and no towels,no napkins, just a dryer. To be safe, we wanted to steam the bed for any bugs, but uh, steam iron was nowhere, so we had to ask for it at the front desk. Even the front clerk was surprised it was missing. He got it for us, thankfully, but honestly i’ve never had to do that at a hotel before, i’d had forgiven it if that was it-brushed it off as a minor issue, no worthy complaints. But we’re not done lol when we did need towels we went to the front desk for those too, clean but had holes.For minor entertainment there was a small tv, that you couldn’t use anyway cause the remote was also missing and the cables were cut. So there's that. For lighting, we had one working lamp. The other tall one in the corner was so dim the light of any smartphone could take its place. If you wanted to get some rest, bring earplugs cause the walls are thin, and you will know the tea from the room across the hall to make up for the tv. And to top it off i’m laughing as I’m typing this because it sounds like I’m typing out of spite, but i was just baffled. Not even a mini fridge or coffee maker really, but compared to the obvious, it was forgotten. Anywho, what an experience, not going back. Lol

Overall, the stay was good in terms of the facilities. However, the hotel advertises an airport shuttle service, which in my case never happened because the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. This occurred on the day of my flight, which made the situation extremely frustrating and stressful. I had to arrange my own transportation at the last minute, and the hotel did not offer to cover the cost or take responsibility. Instead, I was made to feel uncomfortable about raising the issue. Because of this experience, I will not be staying at this hotel again.

the rooms are nice & comfortamble. slept amazing!! slow wifi, no ice bucket or for laundry.

TV didnt work was told maintenance would fix it and never did. Dirty towels with old blood on them. Never answer the front office phone. Dirty Linen and blankets with burn holes

The bed was comfortable. A hot breakfast was provided. The motel is in dire need of renovation. Shower knobs are missing, bathroom lights are dim, and water pressure is low. The room has no coffee maker, fridge, microwave, ice bucket, plastic cups, or washcloths.

Nothing They gave us false accusations and told my boyfriend they were canceling the reservation based off those allegations from staying there the night prior, and refused to refund me my 91$ for the second room I booked even after refusing service saying they’re keeping it for damages on the first room from smoking, they tried to STEAL my money and they refused to answer the phone for either me or booking that entire day until booking gave my money back

The location is great, the breakfast was good. The staff is awesome very friendly and welcoming. There were no wash cloths, water pressure was not so good and the room smelled like cigarette smoke.

It was alright. Blend food if you ask me. The pool was over flooded and my family couldn’t get in. There was a hole on top of the ceiling in our room and the blankets felt like window curtains when I covered myself.
