Comfort Suites McAllen Airport and La Plaza Mall

We stayed at this particular hotel because it accommodated our family. The family room they have available in the third floor is perfect for a family of 5-8. It had a private room with a queen size bed, then in the main room it has 2 queen size beds, plus a very comfortable couch, not sure if it converted into a sofa bed, but it was oversized just as big as a twin bed. The customer service was excellent. We didn't do breakfast but they did have a big variety. The coffee was definitely a plus and very delicious. The pool was very relaxing and big enough. Although the water didn't seem quite clean it we did enjoy using it. Overall, the hotel was very relaxing and we loved it. Will definitely be staying again soon.

It was totally clean and very comfortable for my family of Four. Two queen size beds and a sofa bed. My family really enjoyed the breakfast as well. Very Comfortable and quiet.

The area that the hotel was in it made it easy to get to food and pick up my grandson. The hotel need to be remodel and write only had four channels on the TV. When going into the room the air was not on and the room was humid and wet from not having the air on.

Where it’s located We found a bed bug

Very close to the Mall and shopping centers. The room was old and had a musty smell..when first entered the room we smelled like deodorizer spray to cover the bad smell..the shower floor was not tidy and we didn't have an outlet next to the bed to connect and charge phones..not recommended at all..

The room was very clean. Staff was amazing! We had a broken faucet that was repaired just hours after reporting it. Maintenance man was very courteous and did a great job. Breakfast was good and well stocked.

Location & the kind people

Or room was never serviced by house keeping and when I called the front desk, the lady at the front lied to me and then lied to my parents that were also staying in another room. Twice she tried to lie to cover the fact that they did not make the rooms. If they would have admitted they made a mistake it would be no big deal but the fact they lied really made me upset

Location Everything else was not good at all, you were not able to call the receptionist because the phone didn't have the cable to work. Our room has mold and smells like humidity.

Nothing The lady who checked us in on 04/03/2026 around 8:00p.m was rude and when I asked her a question she tried to be slick. Next time the attitude that the personnel gives me that’s the same attitude I will give them back. Trashy hotel and trashy customer service. Rooms needs to be cleaned correctly because it’s so uncomfortable going to bed and feeling the whole room, bed and sheets humid. For sure not ever staying in the Comfort Inn and Suites in McAllen, Texas.

Easy check in. Location was good. Room size was good. The bed was very uncomfortable, I could feel the springs but it was a quick trip so I wasn't going to ask to move. The room was dated in general but the size of their rooms is always good. The bathroom had several holes that needed to be patched.
