La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Memphis Downtown

Unfortunately after plugging something in, the power went out in our room. Unable to fix it, at midnight, we had to pack & move our cases, with no help, to a queen room which stank of stale smoke. The next day we insisted to move again (again no help) and were moved back to our original room (now fixed) . Rooms are dated. Only 1 lift working. A short walk into town.

Staff were helpful at reception.

Good location to walk to Peabody and Beale st Dogs peeing at the back entrance to the building

Room was not good, smelt musty and damp maybe from the old air con unit in the window. Air con was super loud. Asked for a quiet room but had a group outside our window loud until after 11pm. Smokers stand right outside entrance so you have to walk through it in and out every time. We left a night early as didn’t want to stay another night. Breakfast option was fine. Staff were all very lovely which was the only positive as well as free parking.

Everything. Clean room, spacious and everything you needed for an amazing stay. Breakfast was plentiful and the serving station was spotless. The staff were so friendly and helpful and a big THANKYOU to the guy who was managing front desk reception for going that extra mile. If it wasn’t for you we would not have been able to start the car. Just amazing. NA

Location was good No safe in any room, the food and drinks in the shop had no prices and when paying with a card you had to ask how much as the card machine didn’t show any figures, so only when you got a receipt did you know how much you’d paid

Nice hotel close to downtown Memphis like walking distance. Not very many things around the hotel but it was a bed and a place to rest all in all not too bad.

Great parking and location right next to the centre. Lovely big rooms and comfy beds

How close it was to downtown

The price is very reasonable for a hotel so close to downtown - and free parking is a bonus you'll have difficulty finding anywhere else downtown. Breakfast is provided free, but the warm options are a bit sparse. But fine if you're just after toast, waffles, cereals etc.
