Quality Inn Merriam Kansas City

Over all the hotel was fair. The room was clean but smelled musty and damp. The tile on the floors was lifting up when we walked across the floor. Most of the staff could not speak English very well. We were awakened before 9 am by the staff members talking and laughing in the hallways. My service dog was not allowed to go into the breakfast area with me so I was not able to take advantage of the free breakfast and they would not service our room because of my dog. Also, it is no longer Quality Inn, but none of the sites show the change of ownership.

TV came on but setup screen for Internet would not go away. The worker did not help new nothing except I don't know. No one here to help. We called the 800 number for help and was hung up on several times. Food left a lot to be desired, either frozen or cool,peanut butter had oil on top and very hard to stir tasted old. Last 3 we have stayed at were about the same or worse. This was the last time for us at "Quality Inn" Non smoking motel but.... soon as we opened door OMG it smacked ya down. Asthma hit me was so glad for the window, Machine to help with odor a lot.

The building was dated, but clean and met my needs. the staff were very friendly amd helpful

Overall property was just okay for a night sleep.

Very basic 2-star Quality Inn. Lots of travelers and truckers, and it shows. Room wasn’t very clean, shower sprayed the wall, and everything felt extremely outdated. Breakfast was okay, but barely enough to get by. Needs a lot of repairs. Basically just a bed and minimal breakfast. Would not return 😕

We had bed bugs. Trying to file a complaint and get a refund. We have videos and photos of the bugs.

I was unaware that the property was under renovation when I booked my room there. The elevator was broken so I had to walk up to my room on the third floor. Not that big of a deal but there was a strange smell from water damage in the hallways. In the room the flooring was buckled from water damage. It was obvious recent work was done on the ceiling as the paint colors didnt match. The AC didn't work that great. I asked for the third floor to have a quiet room. I didn't realize this was a pet friendly hotel and around 11:30pm some people checked in next door with a barking dog. This placed served the purpose of me needing a place to stay for one night but it wan't a great experience.

The whole hotel smelled very bad and musty. The room was unclean and elevator broken! We immediately left.

The outside of the hotel & hallways were clean but also smelled a bit musty. The best part of this hotel is how quiet the rooms were and bedding was clean & satisfactory. However this hotel had a lot of sketchy patrons & woke up to 3 cop cars around the parking lot when we woke up & felt very uneasy.

The front desk person wasn't really helpful,the elevator wasn't working at the time of our stay and the air conditioning wasn't really working,it made a ton of noise which kept me up at night and didn't really kept the room cool.

It was clean but had a smell to it and the beds are way to hard making it hard to sleep.

The beds were uncomfortable, the staff was unfriendly, the rooms were not nice

We weren't expecting the Ritz, but we WERE expecting a clean and comfortable room. Instead, we got a room that smelled so heavily of mold/mildew that it was almost unbearable. My clothes still smell of it and we checked out multiple hours ago. Also, one side of the bed frame was so messed up that just sitting down on the side of the bed caused it to make a grinding squealing sound like the gates of hell. Every time I rolled over, there was the sound, all night long. Let's just say our sleep wasn't very good. Couldn't wait to check out.

It stinks in there and room was not clean

If you can do your check-in before you get there, it took the front desk staff over 45 minutes to get me checked I would say I did have 3 rooms reserved; however, they were all in my name. Most convenient of all, it was close to the highway. The housekeepers were nice they had no problem getting me the things I asked for.

Breakfast was subpar.

Parking is limited. I almost wasn't able to park because some buses took up large sections of the parking spaces.
