Econo Lodge Inn & Suites I-35 at Shawnee Mission

The shower was a disaster. The handle wasn’t even attached and fell off on my foot when I was showering and the floor was wet and dirty in the bathroom. The towels had stains. The TV wouldn’t work. We were put next to a group of very loud men who stayed outside visiting until the early morning hours. They weren’t hurting anything but it made it pretty hard to sleep because the walls were paper thin.

Newly renovated perfect stay for the price.

I booked the room quickly without a great deal of research about the property. Upon arrival that evening, the property was not somewhere I wanted my family to stay. We tried to change reservations with Expedia but they were less than helpful. I was charged in full for the 3 night stay although we did not stay at the property.

Prepaid my stay via Expedia. Gave my credit card for deposit, but found a 6 bucks charge for some fees I don't know about. Rude people at the front desk. The place is not really clean. The breakfast is a joke.

The pool was filled with styrofoam, the pool had so many holes and cracked it should be shut down. this means there are hidden germs then are not being taken care off..I wouldn't not recommend this as a health place to swim .how the health department hasn't closed it is ridiculous...I give it a 1.

The breakfast was very simple with cereals, milk, juice and a muffin. Nothing fancy but it was okay. The food area was very clean and the staff was friendly. It was all okay. Nothing fancy but it was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Nothing The staff was terribly rude. They told me to stop walking around my hotel. There were bugs. The whole place smelled like terrible even the outside anywhere near the hotel if you’re looking to stay look otherwise. and the cleaners stole from me out of my room.

Could have used larger trash cans.

The property is older, but in a great location for us. It was clean and our room was much larger than we expected. The only issue was a door stop on the exterior door of our unit wouldn’t stay up, so I had to bend down and hold it up when I closed the door.

The environment was very quiet. My stay was comfortable and safe. The staff kept me with clean linen. The breakfast consist of cold not hot except coffee.

I ask for an extra bedspread and they didn’t give it to me.

Parking Room smelt like cigarette smoke and was discussing, there was a cock roach on the floor, bathroom didn’t look clean, and bed was broken and staff was rude

I liked the swimming pool. I have never felt so helpless during a vacation. I had no control over my entire stay except for booking it. When I needed to modify it, the hotel said I needed to contact booking.com and then after trying 6 times to get through on the phone you guys tell me you need to get permission from the hotel to modify my stay. Well they didn't answer the phone so you guys sent an email which went unanswered. I repeatedly contacted you guys and got the same answer "we cannot do anything without the properties permission ". I was never able to modify my reservation. I checked out a day early and nobody has contacted me, offered me a refund or anything. I don't think I'll be trusting my trip to you guys again.

Smell cigar or humidity was terrible, Breakfast is really bad when I went was early around 8:30 is not coffee not juice nothing only cereal and milk we purchase breakfast for a good coffee at least. I did not recommended this place

The room reeked so badly it was like someone had peed on the floor and then cleaned it using the same filthy mop water.

Loud banging all night in south west rooms. Sounded like a pump or another industrial machine.

I got there 2 hours early the room was ready he said you can get in early for $30.00 more.

The property was a great location, as I came in for the World Cup. Everything was a 10-20 mins drive, the front desk workers were pleasant. Breakfast was shut down early one morning due to no one going but she was kind enough to grab us muffins and juice. The only complaint I have is during the night, I think it was the elevator that was super loud. I heard loud banging noises on the opposite side of the hotel. It was every night. Other than that, no complaints could definitely see mine coming back for a stay.

The location was great It was dirty and very outdated and the owners and all their family live on premises and they rather grow their garden on site rather than keeping the pool clean and open and maintaining the property. Microwave had burnt cheese in it and and instead of doing housekeeping while we were there they told us to throw our own trash away in the dumpster …..
