    This is a poorly refreshed Motel 6. I was surprised with a cash demand for deposit. The rooms I purchased were not the rooms they gave me. The bed was good. Except for the bed bugs.

    Now, in my experience, whenever I have seen this error message on a device sharingIf I attempted to use the phone to make a local call, all that I would hear was a busy tone, every time. I stopped trying to use the hotel room phone and just used my cell for my calls. just turned on my mobile Hotspot and my 8 year old used that instead. Until I received a message I had exceeded my hotspot allocated data. Then, I had to let him use my tablet, which normally would not be an issue. HOWEVER, after paying for my second iternary

    I had reserved multiple reservations for Motel 6 Merrillville Indiana. The first week was June 17-June 24, 2026. There was not any Wifi or local phone access, but I didn't complain. However, for my second reservation for June 24-July 1 2026, right after I paid for the whole week, the television stopped working. I asked the staff who said I had to speak to the manager. I spoke with the manager the next day and she claimed, "The storm knocked out he cable and everyone in the area is without cable." However, the cable went out prior to the storm. In addition, I called the Super 8 next door to the Motel 6 and there cable is working without any issues. I have video recorded the television showing all the channels with the message, "Weak or No signal," displayed on each channel, as well as recorded each discussion with each staff member, as well as recorded the phone call with Super 8. It is now Monday June 29, 2026 at 00:50 hours and still I am without GUARANTEED AMENITIES. I called Expedia who claimed because I paid cash at check in Motel 6 has to issue refund, yet, my reservation was through Expedia. I paid for my room to be clean and with all GUARANTEED AMENITIES and I have been without those GUARANTEED AMENITIES since check in. Thank you

    Was looking for an inexpensive last minute stay, was surprised at the front desk that a $60 CASH deposit was required. This was not ideal. There was peeling paint in the tub and unsecured doors throughout the building. Not an ideal place to stay, especially with so many other options in the area

    The front desk required a $60 cash deposit upon check-in. The room was in terrible condition and process to check-out and get the $60 cash deposit returned was long and poorly handled.

    Rooms were clean. Some of the staff were ok some need more people skills. Parking was easy.

    Very dirty, peeling paint, large hole in bathroom wall, toilet didn't flush, sheets were stained, I couldn't get into my room due to the door being damaged, the pool was closed, I had to pay $60 up front in cash for a deposit on top of the room rate - had to use their ATM for the cash and was charged $3.75. I did get the $60 back when I checked out but I will never stay here again.

    I had to put up a $60 CASH deposit before checking in. They had a ATM machine which charged me $3.50 to get the $60. Many people travel with little cash as we rely on our plastic which is lower risk. This was appalling!!
