Residence Inn By Marriott Merrillville

Residence Inn was very easy check-in. Staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were very clean. Renovations were in process. Dishwasher was never bolted in so couldn't use. Even after calling maintance. They never showed up.

Decent distance from major points of interest. Pool and hot tub were down for 2 out of 3 days. Wi-Fi was so slow my cell phone (which already had bad service) was faster.

Property being remodeled. Sone things are done. The room was not clean at all. Hallways full of building materials. Worst Residence Inn experience I ever had. Staff was nice. Breakfast was good.

The room was very spacious and the staff were extremely helpful and professional. I absolutely loved my time there and would definitely recommend and be back!!!

The hotel was fine. The only complaint was that the pool was closed to be renovated. If I was told before hand , I may of booked elsewhere as we were looking forward to lounging before the concert that evening.

My major complaint was the pool and hot tub was inoperable and it stated on line it would be in operation by May 1, 2026. And it stated all rooms came with a shower/tub combination and ours only had a shower. I was told it cost more for a tub. That's false advertisement. Especially if this was one of the major reasons this hotel was selected. In the future I will email these hotels to inquire of their amenities.

The staff was beyond friendly. They made the entire stay better.

The room is very nice. My only problem is since i been here my internet does not work at all. Which is very very disappointing. Also my first night i stayed i arrived from another state a 3am. Now i had already pre paid for 2 nights. The lady at the front desk threatened to cancel my reservation and charge me a second time for the 2 nights i already pre paid for. I thought this was some scam stuff. I never had a hotel try to charge me twice for my reservation!!!!! This made me very upset. So she was very rude. The other ladies during the day were very nice and warm and welcoming tho. Also i thought the pool would be open but its not. And its okay i know you guys are renovating. The breakfast is delicious.

We elected to stay on first floor where they were remodeling, wasn’t a big deal, nice roomy and spacious, quiet and staff were alway so helpful and sweet!

Booked the room 2 months in advance and pre-paid, when we arrived, they did not have a room for us! Said that they were sold out and that there was nothing they could do. We travels 3 hours for my son and daughter-in- law’s baby shower. Booked this hotel because of the full kitchen. I needed to prepare food for the shower. They have my credit card number on file and had my confirmation as well.

The morning attendant was rude to the fullest. I paid threw booking .com for my reservation and the night clerk charged me another 319.00 which I never got back. I wouldn't recommend this facility to no one. The room was freezing heat wasn't working and we had to wait a whole 24 hours to get a different room.

Staff was wonderful!! Front check in lady was great and welcoming. Only downfall, pool & hot tub was not working at the time. Hotel was under current renovation which will be great. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of options!

The stay was horrible they tried to force my family to stay and pay more days than was originally stated, paid for 1 day but management was trying to get me to pay seven not goid, then they put us in a toom infested with bed bugs, and some stink bugs all over the room, aldo it was cokd the heat didn't work, the front staff had attitudes and didn't act like they wanted my family to stay they also put us out on the street and didn't care that the weather was cold and windy, bad management especially employees Jakiya and Diamond at the front may Gid have mercy on them for the way they treat people.

Hotel was great clean and able to accommodate at the last minute with a discount as a walk in
