Tru By Hilton Merrillville

All was excellent except I couldn't get the thermostat to work. It kept cooling and the only way that I could stop it was by turning it off. I reported it to the front desk but they couldn't fix it either. I will still stay there in the future.

Our stay at Tru by Hilton was very disappointing. The only pleasant part of the experience was Mercy, one of the hotel attendants. She was extremely sweet and kind when she was there, and I appreciated her attitude. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was poor. Our room was not as clean as it should have been. The shower had soap scum, there was hair left in the room, and the room had an unpleasant smell. The refrigerator did not work, and although we were told someone would come look at it, it was never fixed or replaced. The service was also not good. We asked for extra towels and were told there were none available at the time, but no one followed up or brought any later. The trash was never emptied, and the room was not serviced the way it should have been. The pool water was murky and did not look clean, so we were not comfortable using it. Overall, this was not the quality or service we expected. Mercy was kind and helpful, but the cleanliness, lack of follow-through, broken refrigerator, towel issue, pool condition, and poor room service made the stay very frustrating.

My wife and I were very pleased with how friendly the staff treated us. I reported via text that our shower head needed to be replaced and it was replaced by the time we got back from our day. While housekeeping did not clean our room everyday, they provided towels, etc. promptly at our request. We took advantage of the breakfast everyday. It was well prepared and delicious. If we ever come back to the area we will definitely come back the the "Tru".

Rooms were not ready at 3:00 for check in ended up getting a cheaper room but no price adjustment was made staff was not friendly about it and no towels or wash rags was in the room once I did get in at almost 5:00 PM all night long the room above was knocking jumping and making excessive noise

The staff is always excellent and the overall property was clean. The floors in the rooms should be cleaned after every visit. The kids and I went down to the pool and when we came back to the room water had dripped on the floor. I used one of the room towels to clean up the water and the towel was extremely dirty like the floor has not been washed in some time . I always enjoy my stays and use Tru often when I’m travel so this will deter me from booking again.

I enjoyed the stay. I would definitely stay there again and refer my friends and family!

We had to leave before breakfast so I can't say how it was. The hotel was right off the interstate so easy off easy on. Very clean and Quiet. Pillows and bed were excellent.

the entire staff should be recognized for providing excellent customer service. bathroom was out of soap and shampoo but the staff immediately took care of it!

I have noticed that the hotel is not as clean as it has been in the past. Kira continues to give us excellent service and is definitely a keeper!

Nice place! Had chargers right out front for electrix cars. Looked just like the pictures online. Felt new and clean. The staff was super helpful! The beds were sqeaky and uncomfortable. Same with the pillows. There are no noise barriers. So you could hear right outside the room, your neighbors and above you. Also the TV keep turning on and off.

Hotel location great When I arrived I checked in and was given the wrong room at 1am went downstairs to confirm room receptionist informed me it was the correct room and re scanned key card only for it still not to work come to find out room was occupied so she brought key cards for another room we lay down and realized linen wasn’t changed smelled like someone perfume which smelled good but who wants to sleep on used linen from a previous guest
