WoodSpring Suites Merrillville

It was a very odd place. The check in check out counter is only open at certain times and look like a lot of people were living there instead of just staying there. The place was cheap I didn't see any bugs That's about the only thing it has going for it.

Room was pretty clean. Had issues with the AC unit in our room. Ended up having to open the windows due to box not working. Also had issues with the WiFi that staff couldn’t help with. They told me to call a help line which also couldn’t help me. Mostly an ok hotel just had little issues here and there.

The staff ensured my room was in good order and even held open the door so I could unload my bags, Very pleasant and cheerful staff.

The area I had loud people above us . They were constantly running around and stomping on the floors causing so much disturbance through the night

No clerk on duty at night, you have to trade towels for clean ones, outside is nice, inside I had holes in my bathroom door, paint splatters all over the bathroom floor, I paid in advance, 1st Floor under renovation, I paid in advance…Ive stayed in one before out of State, not like this and the mattress…just a bad two nights

Price It was going through renovations but the rooms and furniture were terrible. They should say under contruction when you book.

Could be better but have seen way worse

Hotel room was extremely dated it look like they bought all the furniture from a thrift store the couch and desk chair was made of leather and it was peeling real bad and the bed was made cheaply only reason I couldn’t leave cause all the other hotels were booked

Not the greatest area. Bed wasn’t the comfiest and the bedding was extremely thin. Also paper thin walls.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Filthy rooms, “remodeling” while we were there with cheap flooring. Loud. Weed smell. Harassing clientele. 10/10 will never stay again!!

There was no customer service available after 10p, when I specifically called to check when check in time ends.

I stood at the front desk for 10 minutes waiting to check in when I could hear the guy back in the back watching videos. Whole place smelled like vape, cigarettes, and weed even though it’s no smoking. I got woken up in the middle of the day as a night shifter to pounding on my door for an ”inspection” the day after I checked in. I needed a luggage cart the day I checked out and the front desk was no help with locating one. Room was clean but no well maintained. No curtains in the room just blinds so I could not make it dark at all like most hotels.

No frills extended stay hotel. Could use some repair. Overall a decent place to stay

I liked the apartment style rooms. My toilet stopped working and the worker refused to let me use the employee bathroom or get a new room. I had to check out early just to relieve myself.
