I stayed at this property for a two night work trip. I specifically took off my jewelry and kept it in the room to not walk around with it... because it felt a little seedy. Upon leaving I realized I didn't have my over $40k bracelet. I immediately contacted the hotel, and of course no one had it. The hotel itself is a motel style property with a facelift. The interior of the actual room is decorated nicely and clean. It is my fault for staying at such a cheap hotel, that doesn't properly vet their staff, but it was right next door to a job site I was working on. It would have been nice if the housekeeping staff had some integrity and didn't steal people's belongings. If you are staying here do NOT bring anything of value.

Close to beach, friendly staff. Clean The pool was hot felt more like a jacuzzi instead of swimming pool

The location was fantastic, close to the beach and restaurants but not too close to the impacted by noise! the hotel is lovely decorated and rooms very clean and the employees were lovely and very helpful The only point that was not great was the pool - it got so hot during the day that we could just not use it.

great hotel great location

The hotel staff were wonderful and the proximity to the beach was great. The staff at the hotel restaurant were fantastic and the food was excellent. Overall, it was a very positive experience for us. We would definitely go back again!

The “pool” is an underfilled hot tub with 105 degree water and 0 movement. It was at least a foot low. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable. We had to continually use the shower to cool off while waiting for check in. It does have nice beach access with chairs and umbrellas included. The staff did send maintenance to our room to check AC quickly but only determined temp was adequate coming from unit. They did offer to move us to another room. We declined as we were only there overnight before our cruise. We luckily got a very good rate due to Expedia points. We definitely would not stay there again.

Everything met my expectations. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the facility is well maintained. The location is right where you want to be on South Beach - close enough both to the peacefulness of the south end and the party and reaturants to the north.

Pool was a hot tub. Too hot to go in.

Staff were very attentive and the room was very clean. The lobby smelled like gardenias and there were fresh plants everywhere and we got a complimentary welcome drink at the bar downstairs when we first arrived. You can check out towels at the front desk and beach chairs/umbrellas are reserved down at the beach. The only thing was the carpet is really dated; it has visible stains and burn marks on it. Overall nice stay and we will be back.

Accomodating staff with fantastic rooms
-
The Balfour amazing I was stunned when I walked in the decor to the hotel was stunning the rooms were extremely clean and you could tell they have updated their rooms. They were small and cozy. Well, we had a few hiccups or one major hiccup the first room that we had the AC unit wasn’t working correctly. They did move us to a second room, which was a lot bigger and had an amazing charm to it. We were in that room for less than an hour that AC unit wasn’t working either got moved to a third room identical to the second very stunning great view. AC was finally working.

Location was great! One block to the beach and chairs were included with your stay. The style and decor were beautiful. It has little quirks with being an older property but the renovations were nice. We had two rooms and there were things that were missing in one room (like robes) that the other had.

Exceptional

The hotels location is outstanding, on Ocean drive, very close to the sidewalk, cafés and bars, but not right in the middle of them. Also, the location being immediately across the street from the walkway to the beach. We would highly recommend this Hotel and hope to return on future occasions!

Superb

Older building with very small room and the bathroom was tiny. Wouldn’t recommend for more than 1 person. No issues just very small typical older Miami rooms

Beautiful hotel, tranquility in the madness of Ocean Drive! Stunning reception area, rooms lovely, plunge pool area was great, breakfast was delicious, complimentary drinks voucher were very much appreciated and generous. Staff were second to none. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The front desk lady(I forgot her name) was AMAZING! I was traveling on my own after a month of working, and it was such a treat! I will most definitely be back soon!

The staff were very nice. They did everything in their power to help correct the issues I had with my stay. I enjoyed the welcome drink as well as the amenities such as the in room mini bar, free towels for the pool and the beach, easy access to bike rentals, complimentary chairs and umbrellas on the beach. The location was great and the area was pretty quiet and clean. Didn’t eat at the restaurant but there were some great options nearby. Happy hour from 3-7 was also a plus as the drinks weren’t as pricey as other places. The property has a pest/deep cleaning issue. The first room I checked into had a flying cockroach, the rug under the bed looked like I’ve seen it in the George Washington House very outdated and did not really go with the room. There was also a large gap under and around the door frame into the room which is probably one of the ways the cockroach got in. The other could have been the gaping hole around the sprinkler in the bathroom. The second upgraded premium room was much nicer than the first however the shower drain had fly larvae coming out of it and it would stop up while showering causing the larvae to be floating around the bottom of the shower which was very disgusting and disturbing. The premium room did have access to the roof but there wasn’t much up there except a few chairs that seemed to be taken over by the pigeons hiding underneath.
