The Savoy Hotel & Beach Club

We had a nice stay. There was an event so we could not use the pool or beach acces and still got charged the $45 resort fee. Nice big room, clean, would stay again.

The bad: 1) could not get any drinking water other than way out by the back of the pool. Not one water fountain to be found. 2) the soap “bar” was the size of a quarter. Barely able to later up…3) each day, they gave us one washcloth although there were two of us. I don’t think we should be expected to share one washcloth! $45 resort fee is too much for the few amenities. Not even a free cup of coffee in the lobby!

My absolute favourite part is the beach area. Being able to walk straight from the hotel onto the beach is such a luxury, and it’s where I spend most of my time. The hotel does have a mandatory resort fee of around $51 USD per day for the pool and beach amenities, but it includes your beach chairs and umbrella. Having the umbrella included makes a difference, as many South Beach hotels charge quite a bit extra for one. I love the overall vibe of the hotel. It’s charming, clean, quiet and incredibly relaxing, while still being close to everything I need — restaurants, CVS, shopping and everything South Beach has to offer. The pools are always clean, there’s consistently space to relax, and the music is never too loud. The staff are also incredibly friendly and accommodating. I usually have a couple of requests when I stay, and they’re always taken care of for me. I travel to Miami by myself and usually book a suite. During the winter, I like to come down for about five days at a time, and staying at The Savoy has become my little escape. I just got back from my most recent stay a week and a half ago, and I already can’t wait to book my next one.

The staff treats you like royalty. Towels for pool and beach are provided and set up for you. Drink and food service at both. We experienced a power outage during our stay, and the hotel was gracious enough to provide a complimentary credit to our room and waive the resort fee even though it wasn't their fault.

Beautiful hotel

Right on the beach. Two pristine outdoor pools, super clean, well maintained property. Wonderful suite. Greatest staff. Will definitely come come back!

Exceptional

It's always a pleasure staying here. The staff is always so helpful. Was only able to stay one night but they were kind enough to upgrade my room. Got up early to take a dip in the pool before my flight.it was so peaceful and had the best pancakes.

Savoy is a hidden gem in the middle of south beach. We arrived a bit earlier due to flight times and Denzel at reception was incredibly thoughtful and gave us a spot of our bags until our room was ready- earlier than estimated. The service received, the incredible location, and impeccably clean rooms made this our home spot for our future south beach stays. Thank you Savoy, thank you Denzel!

Since it is a historic hotel, there were a few things that weren’t necessarily our favorites, such as occasionally hearing noise from other rooms and the central A/C. However, nothing was intolerable, and the wonderful service and beauty of the property more than made up for these minor details. Everything throughout the hotel smells fresh and feels exceptionally clean, creating such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The pool and beach staff work nonstop and are always attentive to the guests. Jennifer and Lautaro were especially wonderful with us, always checking in and making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The food by the pool was another amazing surprise—the quality was excellent! We actually ordered the same dishes two days in a row because we loved them so much: the West Coast burrito and the guacamole with chips. Absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!!

The Savoy has the best customer service, they make you feel like they would do anything for you to make you feel comfortable, and they actually do. The suite was beautiful, the cleaning lady did everything perfectly and on time every day. We will definitely come back to this beautiful hotel by the beach, privileged location! It has been one of the best hotels we have ever stayed and it smells delicious.

Great location, large room and historic landmark hotel

Great place great location- made for a perfect holiday!!!

The service at the hotel was impeccable. We sat in the pool area and the drinks kept flowing. The staff were friendly and genuinely kind to speak with. We also tried out the beach area which is directly behind the pool (about a 2 minute walk). From the moment that we arrived on the beach, we were greeted by staff, given our own seating area and umbrella, and provided with towels. This was all complementary. About 3 minutes after sitting down on the beach, a staff member arrived to take our orders too. This again was incredible. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. For the price, this is hitting above its league for service, quality, and overall experience. It’s also centrally located so you can walk to food spots nearby.

From the time we checked in, Denzel treated us so well. Valet parking was a breeze. Jesus V was so accommodating at the beach. We will definitely return and highly recommend the Savoy to our friends and family for a true Miami vacation.

The room was also missing basic toiletries upon arrival, the bed was extremely uncomfortable due to a rock-hard mattress and a noticeable gap in the bed frame, and the pool—one of the main reasons we booked this hotel—was closed without adequate notice. Dining options were also very limited, with no indoor restaurant and only a small outdoor menu. Any one of these issues would have been disappointing. Combined, they resulted in an experience that was far below the standard we paid for. We reported the air conditioning problem during our stay, but the overall experience remained unacceptable. For these reasons, I believe a full refund, or at least a meaningful partial refund, is warranted.

Not sure it was worth the money. No one at the hotel seemed to know my room number when using amenities, claimed I wasn’t staying in the room I was in when at the beach, no beverage or food services at the beach was annoying for hours on end, getting a drink at the bar took an act of Congress and there was no towels available for guests at the pool; and although I was granted a late checkout at 12, staff showed up at 11:20 questioning why I was still in the room. This hotel needs to get their act together because one side isn’t talking to the other. Won’t be spending my money here again.

I’ve been using this great south beach establishment since I was 35 and now I’m 50! All staff members were a pleasure, but DENZEL was EXCEPTIONAL! I’ll ALWAYS book this hotel whenever I visit Miami!! Thank GOD NOW & LATER because you’re in for a delightful experience!

There was no ice in the ice machine/ refrigerator. I asked several times to please replenish the ice .
