Catalina Hotel & Beach Club

Pros: The staff was helpful and patient. The main pool was clean and fun. The property is in a great prime location to everything. The breakfast at the hotel was good. Priced well. Although we did not use anything, the mini bar in the room was a nice touch, but the prices for the items were high. Would I stay here again? Only if the Catalina was the only available hotel within my budget. Other than that, I would probably look for another hotel with similar prices.

Smaller than expected.

From the first day I had problems. Dirty room, lack of assistance from anyone. I complained nothing was done. Hair in the bathroom, baby roach on the bed. Oh i took photo's so they cant deny. I told the front desk, they said cleaners were gone for the day. For the entire trip it remained on the bed along with the stains. Garbage left in room. Towels were filthy. I couldn't/didn't want to use them. I am still waiting on my deposit to be returned. I see a charge on account. Next step is to call my bank.

Our room was huge and clean! Staff was very friendly. Ac worked great!

My room, amazing! Very clean.

The lobby was very cute but the rooms were awful! The photos are not like the rooms, Everyday found a cockroach on the room. And the breakfast was horrible just two options on the first day and in the second day they convert it into a buffet without any drinking options just water and coffee.

Too small

The place is a bit dated and I had some issues with cleanliness but the staff was very helpful and accommodating. It’s really close to the shopping areas. And the bus stop. I probably wont return because I’m a little OCD and prefer clean environment. The bed had little stains and we found hairs in our towel. Otherwise the room was clean.

I stay in this hotel a few years ago it was nice I don’t know what happen to it now o would never stay again

Handled well

This hotel has three buildings. The first room they tried to give me was horrible. It was extremely loud on the floor as soon as I got there I noticed how dirty the bathroom was and that the room didn’t even have a phone for me to call down to front desk. I planned and right after complaining I turn and look and see a roach crawling across the end table. I quickly got my stuff and went back to the front desk. At first they were telling me they were not going to give me a new room and then they would credit me one day out of my four day stay and that I could find another hotel because they were booked. Mind you this was early in the day and if you’re booked, you can just give me someone else else’s room and they won’t know and you can clean up that other room. They talk to an offsite manager, and the manager ended up getting us a room in the middle portion of the three buildings. That room was better, even though very tight. On one of the days I was woken up by a fire alarm going off my daughter was extremely scared and when we ran out, we were told it was just an accident. The staff was nice and the location is close to the beach. But the building is very antiquated. The pools are like Jacuzzi’s. The food was mid, but there are plenty of restaurants down the street. For my inconveniences, they told me they were refunding me all my resort fees by the end of trip it has been months and I have yet to receive the refund and I keep going back-and-forth with them Unfortunately.

The room had a toxic smell, similar to paint or mold. The phone in the room was broken and never repaired despite requests. Terrible Maintenance services and the front desk was left unattended for long periods during shift changes. Overall, the environment felt unprofessional, poorly managed and low class.

Just normal hotel. Parking, resort fees are not included

It’s giving upgraded motel

The bathroom was clean but waaayyy to small. I suggest switching to pocket doors and moving the vanity to the wall the separates the bedroom. Pool was fine, clean 100%. Must make sure towels are readily available at all times being the there is no way they’ll dry on their own. Would go back in the price is right
