Catalina Hotel & Beach Club

Older but perfectly vintage charm in art deco style. Great ambiance and well designed. Our room was near breakfast the the servers bussing the plates was very loud. It woke us up every morning.

Clean room. No one told us where to get breakfast. The bed was very firm.

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever been to the staff are so inconsiderate and have no sense of urgency. The rooms were very dirty and I talked to the staff about it countless of times up until my fourth day was when they finally cleaned my room, this was by far my worst experience and genuinely ruined my trip up into the point where the sheets were so dirty and disgusting, It gave me an allergic reaction and gave me a bunch of rashes I would not recommend.

We booked 2 rooms for 5 people, but housekeeping was very disappointing. Our rooms were not cleaned daily, even after asking 4 times. One cleaner came, but when I asked her to return in 20 minutes, she never did. There were no phones in the rooms, so every time we needed something, we had to go downstairs. If there is another way to contact housekeeping or request towels, we were not aware of it and staff should explain it at check-in. We repeatedly had to ask for fresh towels, and sometimes they never arrived. Garbage cans became full, and the bathrooms inside our rooms were not cleaned regularly. Hallway carpets were also stained. One night, a loud fight in another room scared our children. We also had to insist on getting a 5th breakfast voucher for our family. The staff were friendly and tried to help, but the hotel seems poorly organized. Also be aware of the $35 daily resort fee per room. Overall, this was not the relaxing vacation we expected. Housekeeping, cleanliness and organization need major improvement.

Great location. That I couldn't stay longer :)

It was convenient. It was located in a good area close to the beach and walking distance to drugstores and other stores. The rooms were nice and updated (at least the section I was in). The pool was VERY dirty so it didn’t make for an enjoyable experience. Also, the towels were not clean as well. I had to request new ones.

Location I understand it’s a Beach Town but you can see and smell the mold in the hallway!!!! Thankfully I didn’t smell it in my room!

3 days clean the room one time and had to call first. And I asked for manager everyday say tomorrow until l am leaving still don’t see him yet😡

The hotel was nice and close to the beach and loved walking/jogging the boardwalk every day.

I liked the hotel, it was simple, but clean and smell good. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was great, friendly staff, pool was great. I went with my friend but i am planning going back with my husband. Great location!

I just don’t appreciate the pictures are not what are advertised when u come. Thought I was going have a real balcony but don’t didn’t with a living. That wasn’t cool at all.

I had to wait well past check in to get in my room. Once I was in my room I realized the air conditioning was broken. They had a portable air conditioner inside the room which didn’t work well because a window was open. I told them so many times. They never came to close the window or change my room. I spent 6 days in the heat. I needed to use my inhaler just to breathe. It was awful and they offered nothing to compensate. Very disappointed. I have stayed here before a few years ago and enjoyed my stay. However this time wasn’t it. What makes it worse is I had my partner with me who’s never been and I just wanted to show her a nice time. Unfortunately we slept very uncomfortable.

I would not recommend this Hotel as the room we received had a portable AC With the exhaust tube sealed around with Cardboard and very noisy!!! The floors were all cracked and not clean. We asked for housekeeping and they did not come some days and they did not clean the room completely,, not even basic sweeping. The TV was not working properly. Maintenance even said it needed to be replaced. We were there 7 days . They gave us another room on the 4th day,,, that room had a slow clogged shower drain and not clean. Would not recommend!!
