James Hotel - Near Miami Beach Convention Center

Not at all like advertised these pictures have to be 5-10 years old. Scariest elevator ride you’ll ever have. The room I got was dirty the beds were stiff one of them had a bedframe too small for so it sagged on the end. The AC unit leaked and had watermarks where it had leaked before. The main lobby is halfway decent.

It was calm, clean and room was okey. I really like the location

The rooms need updating The ceiling fan made noise like it was going to fall

The hotel was pure kitch, Loved the whole atmosphere, the story and history behind all of it made the experience that much more fun. Can't beat the free parking!

Had a small problem but was fixed very quickly. They take ur keys and your car is pretty much grounded because they wont let the parking spot open until right after 3pm. They take your keys because if they beed to move ur car to let other cars in they will. So if you plan on driving everywhere then dont stay here. There is alot of things close by though. The staff was friendly. Manager is nice

My absolute favourite hotel. A hotel, not like much others. Art deco Sleeping very well and parking Nothing. It’s old and it shows. Here, it’s a part of the style

Improve WiFi

The parking is very useful, the receptionist was nice and large rooms. It’s close to the beach. One of the bed was broken, ants in the room and not very clean.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had filthy dirty. I have videos disgusting the front desk. Lady was absolutely terrible. They do not keep your luggage. Absolutely terrible. I do not recommend staying here. Filthy dirty absolutely disgusting

Exceptional

Neat looking place. Good location The tub was soft felt like i was gonna fall through, The bed was warn out big cave in from previous guest. Only one little trash bin. The TV was super tiny. Over all just run down

No breakfast provided. It is close to South Beach and is good for a few days' stay. very dated

Great location near the beach and shops. Easy to get to on local buses. Delightful decor in reception area. Friendly and helpful staff

You get what you pay for. Very outdated motel. Front desk Caucasian women had an attitude and not very welcoming. I would not recommend this hotel. It was a last minute booking. Free parking is only for cars and mid SUVs. Don’t pull up in a F150, you will be denied as we were, and parking is a nightmare in SOBE. Book at your discretion. Only good thing is that it’s 1block away from Lincoln Road and 2blocks from the beach.
