Riviera Hotel South Beach

Staffs are not cordial or helpful, they just perform their mandatory duties. Elevators not working, stairs most dirty, need to Cary own luggage. Booking management very poor - despite pre paid unable to provide respective room…. there are many more can’t write all. In simple words very poor property

House keeping stole my jewelry I’ve stayed here a lot and like it but when theft becomes an issue it is a no for me. Also the front desk doesn’t answer the phone, she laughed in my face and said they don’t turn the ringer volume up so they don’t have to hear it or answer it . Very unprofessional House keeping steals your property

I booked a room with a balcony, I get there and they give me a room with a balcony that’s inaccessible. The room was big but looked like it was under construction, the fridge also did not work in that room. I got the replacement room the next afternoon to find there was no toilet seat cover on the toilet, easy fix, but if I was waiting for the replacement room because it needed to be cleaned shouldn’t housekeeping have been aware of that? Smh! The tv was an older model and only had about 30 channels, majority in Spanish (not a problem but I’m not fluent), luckily I had my iPad. The room was also located on a side I guess was an exit for the workers, so I was hearing a gate slam open/close at night. There was a roach in the shower!. Both rooms definitely could’ve used a better cleaning. The restaurant there is ok, very overpriced and I was given the wrong order. The only good thing is the location, it’s about a block and a half from the beach, a cvs and corner store as well as a bar across the street and about 2 blocks from the park. I will not be staying here again!! I was also lied to and told I would be refunded the resort fee for the inconvenience however was still charged.

Great location and great hotel but the Pool was small .

This hotel the pictures was not like the room that I received I requested a balcony didn't receive a balcony it was all taped off and had a portable AC unit in the middle of the room my grandson and I we woke up with bad bikes so I am convinced it was either a lot of mosquitoes for bed bugs the parking was horrible it was a long walk from the park carrying your bags to the hotel with a child

The Lobby was nicely decorated. I reserved a superior king balcony room. Upon check-in, the air conditioner in the unit wasn’t working and we were not in the upgraded superior king room. I immediately called the front desk to state the room was not the one I reserved and paid for on booking.com. I also told the front desk the air conditioner was not working. She stated she would have someone come to look at the unit. No one ever showed up. A portable air conditioner had been placed in the room and the ventilation was duct taped through the balcony door. The balcony was not accessible due to the main air conditioner not working and door was duct taped shut. The hotel was definitely aware of the air conditioner not working in this room because it had to rigged for the portable air conditioner to even attempt to function. It was about 85 degrees in this unit the entire stay. I asked to move rooms to the type that I had rented. I was told there were no other rooms available. They offered a $34 resort fee to be credited which was useless. I would never book this place again!!!! Customer service lacked professionalism. A company was also booked for a work trip. My room probably was given to them even though I booked my room months prior.

lets Just say it was clean and close to the Convention center. within walking distance, less than 5 mins walk in the hot sun.

Staff was friendly room was minimal only 4 large towels no hand towels, I couldn't use my balcony that I paid for due to the AC being down and they had a portla AC unit taped up to the balcony door. I did ask the receptionist to switch me rooms but she wasn't able to

It was close to the beach, free transportation, and restaurants. I wasn't able to stay in our original room but they made up for the inconvenience.

When we first arrived, we had an issue with our original room that we booked. It was a balcony room, but the door didn’t lock and we were on the first floor and also they had AC unit the window that was secured with duct tape and could be knocked out if someone wanted to get in and again we were on the first floor. We ended up getting moved to a one bedroom suite. Also, the roof top pool was not open. That was the reason I booked this hotel because they had 2 pools. We did receive our deposit along with the “resort fees” back from the hotel because of the problems we encountered.

I booked two rooms with balconies, but neither room matched what I paid for. Room 207 had a taped-off, unusable balcony because of a portable AC unit, and I was also given a handicap-accessible room that I never requested. Room 105 had the same balcony/AC issue and was given double beds instead of the room type I booked. There were also basic service issues. The shower only got warm, and there were no clean face towels available. I went to the front desk three times between 3:00 and 5:30 PM before being told that housekeeping had no clean towels. The hotel knew there were AC issues in Building 3, yet I was not notified before arrival or offered an alternative. I paid balcony-room prices but did not receive usable balconies or the room configurations I booked. The hotel only offered to refund the resort fees, which does not bring the price down to what I would have paid for regular rooms.
