Riviera Hotel South Beach

Riviera is in a great part of town and has an awesome vibe. Highly recommend the Orange Blossom around the corner for dinner! I had one issue which the staff handled quickly and professionally. I highly recommend this property for their willingness to make their guests stay excellent.

Great place to stay. Close to the Beach and places to go around. Friendly staff - I would highly recommend it.

None Charged resort fee but no access to pool 1. No advise of current construction at booking time nor from concierge. Card key needs activation every single time you exit. Very inconvenient since reception is on another bldg. and they always question “is this close from your celphone?” Linens and towels looked and FELT rough. All furnitures looked tired. Room dark, gloomy and sofas are muggy. Feels like mushroom is going to grow from it. Carpet dirty, like never vacuumed forever. I personally bought disinfectant wipes to ensure quality. Bathroom smelt moldy and from sewer. No phone in room to call reception about your room concerns. They gave a number but nobody ever answers or calls back. A/C kept leaking causing us to slip. Have to sleep overnight without A/C as it failed after midnight. Staying here ruined Miami trip due to lack of rest.

They need to tell you that they have No balconies...that you have to walk 2 blocks to the pool at there other locations...the air conditioning is through the machine that is connected outside. I wasn't very pleased at all

Old and run down. I asked for clean descent rooms and we did not receive it. The toilet had pee stains all down the front, dead bugs in ceiling of shower. Mild and grime all in the corners. Floor was dirty. Small elevator.

Safety was another issue. When our key card stopped working, reception re-keyed it immediately after asking for our room number, with no identity verification. The layout and amenities were also frustrating. The hotel spans three separate buildings, meaning features like the pool may not be in the building where you're staying, and reaching the beach requires about a two-block walk. Breakfast was hosted in a separate location entirely and served only during a one-hour window ending at 9:00 AM, which wasn't realistic for a vacation. Happy Hour was similarly restricted to one hour with very limited drink options. Housekeeping was minimal during our week-long stay, forcing us to ask repeatedly for basics like towels and toilet paper. Upon arrival, the room smelled of heavy floral spray, likely masking a humid odor from the poorly ventilated bathroom. The frosted glass door offered little privacy, and the sink next to the bed (not in the bathroom) disrupted sleep. While staff were helpful when explicitly asked, basic pleasantries were rarely offered. Overall, the stay was adequate, but I won't be returning.

Very very dirty bugs also hair in shower had to switch rooms just for it to be more hair staff rude to my mom and racist , WiFi didn’t work and was bad had to get someone to fix mines when I asked for help it took someone forever to come up and fix it in my room so I went down a 2nd time to get it fixed someone finally came and then my moms wasn’t working she also had to to the same , they don’t do room service they don’t change the soap out for like hand wash body wash and lotion and conditioner you can tell it’s very old , trash left on the floor in hotel room absolutely not never again.

I checked into the hotel and went to my room and there had stuff there such as water etc. I never requested anything at my check in and thought it was just apart of the hotel package I bought. When I checked out they did not return my deposit. And then charged me for items I never asked them for. Please be careful when you are checking in they will place things in your room and then charge you later unbeknownst to you. That is a sly way of making money. I didn’t even drink the liquor

dirty room, bad a/c …could not sleep fie to fire alarm beeping every night

It is a terrible hotel. It’s well dated. It does stink. We have been sent to another hotel for breakfast and pool. It was my worst holiday ever and I’d like to forget about this hotel.

It’s a 1 star. Our room was nasty. Broken furniture and toilet seat. Nasty stain furniture.Ceiling not clean concrete. Trash cans outside my door. I had two rooms they separated us . Man in lobby mad screaming about roaches. No mgr on duty . They did not offer to move us and when we ask they said no other vacancies. We stayed less than an hour! Pictures look nothing like what is on Expedia., They will not refund all our money. We had to find another hotel and cost us more money. We had no idea they had other properties….This was their project side maybe why they put us there. Just filthy accommodations… Don’t trust this listing. I see they reduce their price…Is there a such thing as 0 star?
